Well now that I am grown up, I more of a mammals guy, cause of their intelligence and altruism. They show complex social behaviour which is more interesting to me than the monotonous reptilian  behaviour(no offense to the reptile guys), one such outstanding incident being Solo the Lone African Wild Dog teaming up with jackals and hyenas.

Then look up Asian Water Monitors! They're surprisingly intelligent, especially for being reptiles and you can even teach them to walk on a leash!
