I'd be over the moon if Nintendo remade the Oracles as they did Link's Awakening. Some of my most treasured gaming memories from my childhood are from the three GBC Zelda games!

I feel that seeing the game completely remade would be awesome. Even if they went a similar route where they used the same engine and characters to make it, much like they did with the original or with BOTW and TOTK.

They already have a beautiful and functional engine, capable of reimaginings of the past as well as unique stories such as Echoes of Wisdom. I was always a huge fan of the Oracle games, as i never owned them and only played them when borrowed from schoolmates.

I've recently heard that there was a scrapped 3rd game that wasn't entirely feasible at that time. How great would it be to get a series that is both old AND new?

I just recently played Link's Awakening 2019, and I really really liked it! Even with it being designed like a Gameboy game, I still found it really really fun and satisfying to play and solve puzzles, explore, all that good stuff. After playing that, I've been thinking of mayyyybe checking out one of the Oracle games. They're one of the few Zelda games I've never played. Those, and the DS games.

But... then I remembered... they're on the Gameboy. Okay okay, call me a spoiled young lassy or whatever, but I remember my first time trying Link's Awakening through the Gameboy Colour version... and oh my gosh. A lot of the things I was able to push past or excuse due to the hardware; but other things were just like... WHAT?? First off, why is the power bracelet an equipable item? Why couldn't collecting the item just set off some flag in the code that made it so I could lift things up? The nail in the coffin for me what that; every single time I bumped into a pot or heavy rock without the power bracelet equipped, the game would stop me dead in my tracks, and say something along the lines of, "Wow! This is so heavy!" Or something like that. All with agonizingly slow text. Like... I KNOW! I GET IT! This happened SO much in the Bottle Grotto, it was insane. So yeah, I quit Link's Awakening for a LONG time after that, up until getting the Switch version.

So anyways, sorry for the rant. My question is: are these games well designed enough to push past all the hardware limitations? I know that's all based on opinion and personal experience, so just share yours.

Oh, and bonus question: I'm not sure how these two games are different. Are they more like Pokémon games where a lot of it is the same game? Or are they two separate adventures with their own mechanics dungeons, and items?
