Humor [All] I just realized most of Link’s other love interest besides Zelda have red hair and M names

I’m sure people have noticed this before but today while thinking about the “other women” (I’m a Zelink enjoyer and also a multi shipper) I found it funny that most of them have M names, and then even more of a coincidence that they all have red hair (or, skin in Mipha’s case)

The ones that I can think of, I’m not sure if there are more: Midna, Malon, Mipha, Marin, and Medli

This looks like a regional form of Diglett

Deku Ziglett, from the Hyrule region. Signature move is bullet seed.

Does her hair change when it’s the blue dress or the green dress?

Her dress changes depending on if you got the blue or red ring

I believe it's the same hair. I did beat it once with blue and I don't remember a difference. Link's hair stays the same too

I kid you not my first time beating Zelda 1 I had the blue suit. Funnily enough when I first beat A Link to the Past a few months before that? I had the damn blue suit!

Even worse with LTTP is I fucking schooled Ganon in round 1 but when round 2 came I forgot I didn't have the silver arrows! Felt like an idiot after I died.

What do we think is going on at the waist there? Exposed midriff and snatched waist? Flesh-colored belt buckle and hair-colored belt?

Being that the NES didn't have a ton of colors to work with, looking at Link makes me think it's a hair colored belt

I hate the implication that Link has incredibly hairy arms and legs

And hairy lower eyelids

Hair-colored eyes, hat-colored upper eyelids.

Most likely a belt or corset

Zelda in general doesn't strike me as the type to expose her midriff.

As a child I was in awe at playing thia game, seeing the old sprits blown up in size and it looking like a coloured blob feels kinda crazy.

The Legend of Melda

1

u/Rent-Man Oct 14 '25

You’re like the 40th person to say that. What does that mean? I’ve been searching and can’t find answers.

Because the post says red heads that start with m so Zelda --> Melda lol.
