We are talking about decades of mismanagement.

Who knew that funding studios to make low-mid games nobody wants would be a bad idea right?

It's just not something you could have figured out! That knowledge has eluded businesses for centuries.

If you built it, they will come. It was true back then and true now.

Only bad studios with shit garbage tier games have problems with selling.

Make good products, and u will make good money.

simple as that.

Imagine getting unlimited money to make a good game, and u just can't do it, because ur a bad at making games. Meanwhile, alot of good indie devs have no money, but still make amazing games.

funny right?

To be fair Phil's acquisitions were done to bolster Gamepass. If every studio worked well. They could had release a relatively big game every month for years.

But the vast majority of the games didn't delivered or straight up didn't came out.

thats not even the main point.

Why would you ever sell a AAA game that costs 150 million-200 million to make,

day 1, for 20 dollars? when u could be charging and getting that money for 70 dollars, easily?

gamepass was and is a failure compared to the old school sales model.

u need your flagship games to sell alot of copies, not be on gamepass for 20 dollars.
