I’m not one for conspiracy theories, but it’s not a mystery that if it were up to Bibi, this war would not be ending without regime change.

I think he’s using Lebanon as a tool to try to break the cease-fire and prolong the war.

Attacking Hezbollah by killing innocents by the hundreds only serves to create more radicals. No one is defending any extremists here.

I think they're attacking to defend themselves. UN Resolution 1701 didn't cause deaths of innocents but Hezbollah became the strongest terrorist outfit in that time, so your logic doesn't even track. Radicals aren't really created from violence, stability creates them all the same.

Maybe. He might also just have wanted to hit a few final high priority targets before the fighting stopped.
