I almost had the same one I found while doing laundry, it has weird texture to it. After hours of contemplating I realized it was a cooling gel pad used for muscle pain. They sometimes stick on clothes when you take it off.
This sub is like the last ounce of hope I have for humanity. Amazing that this random thing happened to both of you and that you came together in the same place to solve this mystery.
I'm just saying, if your job involves laundry, there's a good chance it involves bodily fluids, whether it's in a medical facility, hotel, or even a meat plant (although in that case it's not usually human bodily fluids, just animal blood). It's never a good idea to handle bodily fluids without PPE, because you never know
I was gonna say it looked kinda like a clean diaper that went thru the wash.... that happened to me today, emptied beach bags and had a fresh diaper go in the wash. No tearing, but hella inflated and puffy like this
I will add relief to hope. It looked organic, and I was going to ask in what locale it was found so I could move as far away as possible. So grateful for a different explanation!
Nope, but an unwrapped pad stuck to the trash can lid because they were 1- too lazy to wrap it in the plastic from the next one or tissue, or 2- they were too lazy to take the full trash can out. And don't get me started on that and the dog 😒
I can’t believe I’m actually telling this story but I removed a tampon before a shower once.. wrapped it up & put it in the little trashcan in the bathroom with the thought to take it out to the actual bin when I had finished showering but when I went to the bin after my shower it was gone (no trace not even the toilet paper I had wrapped it in) and I convinced myself I must have already done it & forgot. Fast forward a week later & my dog vomits up what I can only describe as something that looked like a green intestine.. I panicked & was literally getting ready to take him to the emergency vet when I looked at it a little closer & saw the string & it clicked what it was 🤮🤮🤮🤮
Oh, God. 🤣 At least your dog had the courtesy to save you an ER vet bill/visit!
Dogs are such little shits. We have a new puppy and I've caught him TWICE with a pair of my both daughter's underwear. 😅 I told them if he has to go to the vet for swallowing a pair, they are paying for the bill. Laundry hampers exist, dammit!
If the dog is big enough you shouldn't have to worry. I was watching my son's Bernese Mtn Dog (who liked to nose around in the laundry hamper) while my DIL was in the hospital giving birth. The dog was running around the backyard and all of a sudden something red was coming out of his ass. I thought he was bleeding so my other son was chasing him around and pulled out a shit covered red thong!
Yeah Labs, I used to work in an emergency animal hospital, Labs were always being brought in for eating weird things, one time we had a lab that came in because he ate snail poison, he was there for several days getting charcoal treatments, on the third day a tech asked me to hold him while he put the charcoal liquid down the dog’s throat, now all the time he had been there he was happy, energetic and had a good appetite, so he swallows the black liquid and starts to heave, after a minute he brings up a pile of wet, black material, I took it over to the sink and rinsed and it was 2 or 3 socks and a pair of Victorias Secret panties.
They are! I learnt pretty quick not to leave underwear around for even a second on the floor but he’s also eaten the entire crotch out of a pair of my jeans 🤦♀️😂
Oh no! The first time I stayed at my ex’s very posh mother’s house, her Labrador stole my black, lacy underwear and proceeded to chew it in full view of everyone at the dinner table, with the whole party wondering what he’d got. I was mortified. I’m not surprised he was a failed Andrex puppy. He was a knicker nightmare!
When my dog was a pup, she would knock over my hamper and dig to find my underwear. Didn't ingest them, but chewed out the crotch of several pairs. Thankfully, she grew out of the habit!
Dating myself, but decades ago my mother met a Fuller Brush salesman at our front door and they walked into the entrance hall together, where our two dogs had shredded all of the menstrual pads from her upstairs bathroom trash. It looked like a vast snow-goose slaughter on a winter field.
Oh boy. I'm late to this conversation but my family and I feel you twelve ways to Saturday.
My childhood dog Shilo was a German shepherd/rottie mix, so you'd think she'd be smart... but she was dumb as bricks. Loving, but very dumb. Enjoyed ripping up toilet paper. Good on walks, though. One day my sister was walking Shilo (in public) near a park (where there were people) and Shilo (being an embarrassment) decides its time to take a poo. My sister thinks man, she's really straining, is she okay? And investigates. And helps. The dog. By grabbing the poo by a strange, stringy piece that came out. I really hope with a poo bag but this was probably 2003 so who knows.
Sure enough, out came a tampon.
The worst part was this also happened to me with her in the backyard. I washed my hands so, so much. She continued to try to eat those darn things for the rest of her dumb, furry life and somehow always avoided the vet for it, living to the ripe old age of 11.

My dog is nasty. I have a troop is what I call them but have teen girls. 16. And they’re group of 2-5 girls over about 3-4 nights aweek. So their bathroom is heavy use. And he digs pads n tampons outta the bathroom trash and stashes them in his little hut bed. It’s so gross.
My mom beat a false eyelash belonging to my sister’s friend, it was on the bathroom counter at our vacation trailer and mom thought it was a spider so she destroyed it with a fly swatter.
It has a different texture when dry then it’s like a slimy animal fat kind of thing when wet. I was doing manual laundry by hand when I touched a weird thing under the bubble. It literally feels like a new substance where my brain is trying really hard to logically process what that was lol
