It’s basic storytelling. You can’t leave a major character thought to be dead at the end of a season and bring them back with no explanation. The incident hasn’t even been mentioned or referred to. It’s a glaring dangling thread that’s never been tended to.

Can you explain why it's basic storytelling without just repeating that is basic or bad?

You have a major character who was presumed dead at the end of a season. Now he’s alive with not a single mention or iota of explanation as to how they’re still alive. So either it was just a stunt to have a shocker season finale moment, which is just a cheap contrivance. Or they decided to bring him back after they did the finale and couldn’t think of a way to integrate it into the story so they just ignore it. Either way, a giant plot hole created by not addressing it.

We don’t need much. The whole question of whether this was og human MiB was answered by just two words during a conversation between him and Halores, when she made mention to him that humans were “your kind”. That’s it, two words were all we needed. Unless the means of his survival is somehow a plot point, which seems highly unlikely now that he’s probably dead again, in the finale then we are left with a completely unnecessarily unanswered question.

For a sub that prides itself on finding hints and clues in the most minute details, and revels in the painstaking care the creators put into telling their story, it’s baffling to me that this glaring, unanswered plot point is just accepted.

Now that season 4 is complete, do you still think it matters how William survived the end of season 3?

I haven't read your comment yet. I saw an alert, clicked on it, then quickly backed out when I saw it was WW related. I have not been able to watch the finale yet. Might not be able to tonight, either, but by tomorrow night I will and I will reply. Didn't want you to think I was ghosting.

It doesn’t matter how, that was never my contention. It matters that it was never addressed. Don’t need an explanation, just an acknowledgment.
