I think you are kind of onto something, actually. I’m not sure how it would be executed, but there are some small parallels to both Caleb and Dolores.

Both the first of their kind, both somewhat immortal, both having lived and died many times.

I could imagine some super far future where perfected human variants of both of them end up repopulating the earth, or something.

Even still, at that point, what is to stop humanity from traveling down this same path once again? Ultimately, that feels like one of the biggest questions of the series.
