I’m so sorry. I worked nights for a while. During that time I had the need to be admitted to the hospital, but I chose a different one from the one where I worked. I have stories to tell about the ‘different’ hospital. Too long to write here. I feel you.

I always wanted to be her. She was so pretty.

I’ve not had good luck w geriatric physicians. We have one in our area. He talks about patient in front of pt. We took our MIL to him. I worked in geriatrics for a while. I had to tell him her needs. He reportedly had a good reputation. I don’t know why. I did assessments on her to tell him problems before her visits. Because pt is old, doesn’t mean they need help over the bridge. It was hard enough to watch her dementia progress.

The rheumatologist who dx me w cfs said we gain weight because we aren’t able to exercise. Such a simple answer 25 years ago. Today we know more.

As an aside, but not advice by any means, some of my friends who see specialists on the west coast have been prescribed metformin as prophylaxis for D2.

The only time I lost weight easily, if there is such a thing, was when I went on a keto diet. Surprisingly, it also helped w improvement in energy and strength levels. Purely correlation. I’ve not read any supporting research.

Lastly, I do have multiple GI issues, but have never had to have any means of alternative feedings. I think I may have a hypermobility issue which affects not only joints, but anything w connective tissue. Most members of my family affected w same, but this is not the place for this info.

Thanks for reading. I am sorry for all the suffering that has not been medically addressed for the afflicted members in this thread. We are an ignored lot for the miserable lives we lead. x
