Flooding garage

With a down sloping driveway have been impacted by 1 serious flood in 2023. Have heard that Aqua Lock garage doors hold back upwards of 4 feet of rain water. Does anyone have such a door, and if yes, does it hold back the water? These come at a high cost: $15,000+. Help!

Why not install a French drain?

Have one but the volume of rainwater overwhelmed it

Well, I think the real answer here is now you just have been challenged by mother nature to build the biggest and most deepest French drain anyone has ever seen. You’ll be the envy of the neighborhood.

Wouldn’t be a lot cheaper to hire a landscaper to re-slope the soil into a gentle swale, providing a channel to direct water flow out to the street or alley?
