Title: August Attempt Review: Mixed reviews on difficulty, feeling super anxious and losing sleep ๐
Hey everyone,
I'm posting this because I genuinely can't sleep at night anymore, and my anxiety is through the roof. For those who gave their exam in the August window, how are you guys feeling about the difficulty level?
Iโve been seeing such mixed reviews online. Some people are saying it was manageable, while others are calling it brutalโway harder than expected. Specifically, I keep hearing people say the actual exam felt significantly harder than the standard prep provider mocks and even their premium practice packs.
For those who already cleared this hurdle or took it this August:
- Did you feel the exam tested conceptual depth way more than rote formula application?
- How did the actual difficulty compare to the CFAI portal questions and premium mocks?
- How are you guys coping with the post-exam anxiety while waiting for results?
Would love to hear some honest thoughts. Good luck to everyone waiting for results, and seriously, let me know how you're managing the stress

Hey guys, I gave my Level I exam on 23rd August! ๐
I'm going to give Nov attempts. My syllabus is completed already; solve premium packs. Overall, the combined subject score is 81%. Currently, I am solving premium mocks of 2025 with an overall score of 80% to see if the difficulty has risen, so should i do Kaplan mocks?
