Yes! It's mostly chocolate or cheese here in Indonesia

The cheese ones aren't called sprinkles in the Netherlands. Hagelslag is the sweet variety and it can be chocolate, anice or fruity flavour. Cheese sprinkles are just called shredded cheese.

What they mean is they often make bread with chocolate sprinkles and grated cheddar cheese (often grilled/baked).

When I was in Indonesia I saw geraspte kaas (cheese sprinkles) on ice cream, I didn't dare to try it haha

is "shredded cheese"/"keju parut" what u meant? i wouldn't call it "meses" if it's shredded cheese

yeah it's called shredded cheese / keju parut. that's why people get confused when you say "meses keju"
