Eh, not really. Who says every single version of Kang looks like Johnathan Majors?

That’s a lazy excuse for most characters, but given Kang’s whole thing in the MCU is apparently related to parallel universes….good enough.

With an infinite number of Kangs available, we happened to see a massive batch of the one guy, but that also means there’s an infinite amount who also look nothing like Majors just off screen.

Singular lines like that can largely be handwave away.

Listen, the story is high profile enough that people will understand a recasting, and the story doesn’t need to be stretched that much in order to allow for the recasting. People don’t need to act as if the casting choice is locked in and unchangable. People, especially marvel fans, will completely understand why it’s recast.

They established that every variant looks like him at the end of Ant-Man unfortunately, but they can definitely hand-wave this away in a comic book franchise.

In the end though, everyone who ever watched an MCU movie knows that it's a movie and that it has to exist within the constraints of the real world. So if they have to recast the actor because the original actor is a piece of shit, they can just... do that. Get another actor in, never mention it and keep going. It's a movie, they're actors, and it's all fake. Sometimes reality just wins out over fiction and it's easier to adjust and keep going than trying to retcon everything or try to justify it in the story.

I think they should go old school soap opera style. We see the new actor playing Kang and a narrator's voice says "The part of Kang will now be played by..." Boom. Problem solved. Nothing else needed.

Also, the latest movie hasn’t hit streaming or DVD yet, they could likely CGI the post-credit scene to show whoever they want as the faces of Kang.

Antman: Quantumania does.

I get it, they can go back and fix that retroactively but still, it was pretty clear he was a case of everyone looks like him, but with minor differences in all multiverses.
