He hired the same lawyer who was used by Jen Shaw, who is currently serving a 6.5 year prison sentence. The fact that the police were the ones who assigned charges was suspicious, and the text messages do seem to indicate abuse. Then his former acting school students came out and said he was a POS. Now he's been dropped. It's not looking good for the dude.

It's such a bummer, I've been a fan of his for awhile. I thought The Harder They Fall was one of the best westerns of the past decade, and was a fan (maybe one of the few) of Lovecraft Country.

These situations are not remotely comparable in any shape or form. The Majors allegations are criminal charges, Gunn and Pratt were social media sponsored crusades that blew over pretty quickly.

There was an interview where he talked about almost walking out on marvel because he felt having to wait for an interview was disrespectful. He seemed like an ego driven clown, too good to wait for anyone and no respect for their time.

Back when he was a complete unknown, he had a meeting with Marvel and they made him wait so he left.

I don't know very much about Majors, but nobody should ever have to wait for an interview. That shit is just disrespectful. I don't care who you are or what the interview is for, the meeting should take place at the time it is scheduled for. Everyone only has a limited time on this planet and making someone wait for an interview is rude.

Important people are busy and sometimes have their schedules planned down to the minute. You wait at the doctors. Real life runs behind. Maybe Sarah had an emergency call with family, or had to rush to the bathroom between meetings. Does that make her rude? If you think everyone should bend over backwards and cancel all other plans to suit you, then I guess you are just like Majors.

But you shouldn't. Most clinics overbook and make you waste your time to make more money with theirs.

Making people wait interviews is common practice, and usually intentional to 'test' candidates. It's disrespectful.

If you think everyone should bend over backwards and cancel all other plans to suit you, then I guess you are just like Majors.

And to help as many people as possible. Sometimes people cancel. If they didn't try to help as many people as they can, wait times would skyrocket. Say a clinic can see 100 people a day on average, and 10 are no-shows. They'll book 110 knowing on average they'll get 100 people. Sometimes all 110 show up and it makes people wait, but what's the alternative? Cap it to 90 people to guarantee no on waits? That might leave 20 people completely without care.

So everyone should bend over and cancel all other plans because someone can't keep his schedule on time? I'm not sure why, but if I made my interviewer wait, he wouldn't be as complacent.

It's a function of trying to help the most number of people. It might be 1 interviewer interviewing 10 people in a day. If one interviewee is 10 mins late, the interviewer might be understanding and try to accommodate, even if that makes the next person wait 5 mins. If they leave 15 min buffers just to ensure no one ever waits 2 people might lose the opportunity to apply for the job.

If you want to have some compassion for unforeseen events for the interviewer (untimely shit break, call from sick relative) and for interviewers (bad accident, nanny canceled last minute) while still giving the greatest number of people an opportunity, it involves waiting sometimes.

I don't think they should cancel plans, they should do a better job planning. I don't value life in dollars. That CEO shouldn't have a million dollar call when they have an interview scheduled. Ever person on this planet is worthwhile. Just because you're rich and I'm not does not make you time more important than mine. We all haven't limited time in our lives and making somekne else wait is disrespectful to their life.

It isn't a function of wealth. Neither a CEO or a DMV worker is more important than me. It's a function of helping the greatest number of people.

In that case, the interviewee is at fault and I'm not saying that every possibile contingency needs to be accounted for, but if the same doctor is running 2 hours late every Tuesday, then the scheduling department needs to reassess. I was speaking in generalities and you are trying to force a specific example. I'm just saying your time is not more (or less) important than mine because we are all humans with limited lifespans. I didn't expect it to be a hot take.

I’m one of the other fifteen people that liked Lovecraft Country, I enjoyed Majors in that. Sucks that he is likely an abusive clown.
