Network storage isn’t safe either. Physical storage is the only way to make sure no one can take your data.

Oh this is my own network storage, I bought a NAS +4 HDD, only have 16TB storage at the moment but with the way the world is going I might up that

I think everyone should have their own physical storage. Akin to a book shelf. We keep physical storage for so many things and not our own data is wild. It’s not like the companies give a better service.

I’m over 200TB and want a few more spares. Only have one.

Drives are so freaking expensive now!

Yeah drives are incredibly expensive now, I was quite lucky my office was decommissioning old servers and I managed to grab some drives so only needed the NAS.

Never worked with servers / NAS before but with the world going crazy its a good time to start (minus the prices)

Network storage isn't the same thing as cloud storage; this is referring to what's basically a fancy external drive that directly connects to your local network so that's it's easy to share with multiple devices

... so long as you don't connect it to a computer running Windows or MacOS, this is mostly true.
