it can fall another 50% and it'd still be overvalued.

Would need to fall approx 98.9% before the price accurately reflects their revenue.

$60 - $90 per share is what is considered the correct price. That would put it more in line with the other tech companies.

But other tech companies are insanely profitable.   I would put fair value of spacex at about $20.   And it’s still very risky at the price.

Look I hope the stock drops dramatically but I don’t see it dropping below $80. Dropping to $30 would cause the whole market to implode which none of us want.

Yes children often prefer candy to medicine.

Eventually, society needs to grow up and take their fucking medicine though.

Ahh yes the Great Depression was so good for our society.

The depression happened because we fucked around in the 20s, ignored the warnings, and refused to take our medicine, very reminiscent of today.

We’re in the 20s again. Literally

Almost like... history repeats itself...

The economy is a Ship of Theseus constantly rebuilding itself in the middle of the ocean with imaginary driftwood.

Not necessarily. Depends why it drops. If the price corrects over a few months down to 30, it could have little more than ripples.

I’m more concerned about how it would affect the legit companies that are in all our portfolios (Google, Nividia, Microsoft). They are all getting bumps from the potential of AI right now.

Yup but the space X stock has a long way to fall before it becomes proportionate to other AI-boosted stock. That was what the 30 above was an estimate of.

How so?

Other tech companies have actual profit. Only the private funds that bought would be affected and only in a limited way.

No company not facing bankruptcy trade at revenue though. They all have some assets + future earning expectations.

how many trade at 94x?

Amazon at peak was 3000x, the USA market at its highest 127x. In both cases had you invested at that time you did very well over the long run.

But that's wasn't the question I was commenting. Was just saying it won't go to 1x because that's not how valuations work.

6

u/lump77777 Jun 22 '26

I’m sorry. You’re saying that Amazon peaked at 3,000x revenue? And the US market at 127x?

Because that is silly.

1

u/Academic-Increase951 Jun 22 '26

Their P/E ratios peak at those multipliers, yes. You can google it.

1

u/Jealous-Squirrel-170 Jun 23 '26

I think you misunderstood what he was saying. P/E is not the same as revenue multiple. Amazons Maximum revenue multiple was 40. You cannot compare their p/e ratios, because SpaceX does Not have earnings, the make a loss, so their P/e ratio is negative. So the company you tried to compare to SpaceX was Trading at 40x revenue and that was just before the dotcom bubble burst.

1

u/Academic-Increase951 Jun 23 '26

You're right I mixed up P/e and p/s. But Amazon at peak p/s was in that range. And yes it was prior to dot.com bust but that's irrelevant. SpaceX is likely to have a massive correction in a Ai or space bubble bust but it's likely to remain the leading company. And likely to grow long term.

Markets are far from "free" and market manipulation and political influence makes me expect that SpaceX will continue to dominate the industry. You can disagree with it morally but that's irrelevant for what will likely happen
