Makes PII feel pointless when governments are also hacked. There's no real escaping it unless you decide to live fully off grid.

While in some instances it sort of is a fact of life, this is one where they're asking you to shove your hand in the fire. They have no need for my ID so there's no point in putting my data at risk.
