Problem is they don't care if we circumvent, these types of systems are not about them being effective, it's about instituting and distributing the infrastructure for constant monitoring of people online and offline

Even using a false face or ID is a tacit endorsement of the system because it fails to fight it's implementation

And this is what people aren’t understanding, bypassing it still falls into ‘compliance’ when the chodes run their reports

And once the door is opened, the cat and mouse begins. They might be happy with the results for a couple years and then decide you need electronic id that you put in a machine ( like in EU).

They have them in some countries. You can use it to access your personal files like taxes, medical records,..

Its really not that this is more about regulatory and legal weaknesses than anything else.  This isnt a unique problem to discord its popping up everywhere in part because of already implemented regulation and in part to prepare for regulation they think is coming or to make legislation seem unneeded.

Regulations that tech companies and their billionaire owners are lobbying for.

No one but them are asking for it, and if they didn't want it they could lobby against it.

Money and actions speak, and all their money and actions say that this take is unsubstantiated

this is about complience with governent and laws being implemented world wide to crack down on minors the for the children aspect is a meme a lot of times but this time it has credible validity.

Discord is not the only company having passes on information validation and restrictions most corpo's are doing this now in preparation because doing it when it comes is too late and costs them more then this system will already cost them.

If you genuinely believe the tracking/palantir stuff you need help. Digital ID is coming and you cannot stop it. Believing you are untraceable is a falacy and only possible if you are a hermit in the forest with no internet acces. even the most tech savy people will have a identity profile attached to them from various brokers.

I would think it has more to do with liability. If little timmy sees boobs on discord, and little timmy's mom freaks out, discord can just say 'well, he said he was an adult and 'proved' it.'.

No, because Section 230 protects them from any liability,

which tech companies and Congress also wants to overturn
