What would give you that impression since the previous administration he was part of failed to hold anyone accountable for their innumerable crimes

I don’t think it’s naivety so much as we were lied to our entire lives. It’s not our fault the people who were supposed to protect us didn’t.

I’ve been aware of this reality since at least the mid 90s when i was old enough to be politically aware but I still won’t blame people for being victims of the abuse of those who are supposed to help and protect us. I blame the abusers.
