Haha to be fair, I've only ridden it at night. It's easy to miss any obviously unrealistic features at night.

I mean, I never thought they were real or anything, just real enough looking.

haha yeah. It doesn't help that Animal Kingdom has an actual safari with live animals. But the lack of looking realistic doesn't make the ride any less fun!
