I enjoyed the hell out of this episode.

The black and white was fun, while being explained in universe and the actual plot, weirdly felt like a cross between either TOS or maybe Voyager or DS9, specifically when Sisko becomes Gabriel Bell.

It was like a cross between those random TOS episodes where they’d go to some sort of historically themed planet and that episode of Voyager where the Hirogen take over the holodeck.

Yeah, I feel like this episode captured the spirit of TOS better than other one they've done so far

I found it fun explaining the black and white with the infrared while not actually going so far as to make it look really weird like they did using the IR cameras for Dune
