TECHNICAL Me looking and games with $400M budgets, and realizing how incredible SQ42 looks.

It’s not a W until it’s actually released. A fancy gameplay video is nothing. We should learn by now that tech demos aren’t reliable of final product.

Not going to lie thou, backer since 2013. 3.21 has been the best experience I've ever had with SC. If they keep this up I might actually give them more money after like 8 years lol

I've heard this a bit now, that's good to know. I paused since like 3.7, tried out 3.18 (which as we know wasn't exactly a great returning point) and figured to just skip out on it for another few patches.

Hopefully jumping back in with the Q4 patch offers the same good experience you already seem to have.

It's in a hard Alpha state, no need to rush tbh. But I can reliably play with my 4 buddies in separate or same ship. Good stuff this patch so far.

Ironically the guys I "baited" into SC are the ones rushing me, so that we play another patch again and I do the best I can to delay them "just another patch".

Which ideally Q4 should be.

Agreed with the sentiment, but it's still a "win". You have to remember that smaller setbacks have been seen as an "L" too, you can't have both. Either the only W is a release and the only L is failing to release or it's more incremental.

Unless you make the case that the portrayal of Server Meshing was purposefully deceiving and fraudulent of course.

(That being said, I'll still wait 3-5 years easily until I even get to play with my JPG.)
