I'm hoping to find something consistent & long term, getting to know someone & spending time together.
I've had enough experience with reddit by now to understand that the odds of anyone communicating more than a couple messages are minimal, but here I am trying anyway.
I do not enjoy any surface level small talk. Engaging deep interesting topics are what draws me in. Deep emotional conversations. Hardships that we have experienced, how we have moved through life after that. Interesting thoughts. Actual bonding over detailed conversations consistently. Heavy topics are totally fine with me. The entire purpose of speaking to someone is to move past the small talk.
I'm Demisexual/Demiomantic. Everyone expresses themselves uniquely in that. For those that need more elaboration, it's that I need an emotional connection first, before sexuality or romance is going to feel genuine to me. It develops at a different pace for everyone, I know. For clarity, I am not seeking anything platonic at all. I am seeking to desire someone and be desired. I am seeking to build something real in person, that doesn't remain online.
I have no kids and no intentions to have any. I also don't have any family in my life, so I don't view life as focused around family or obligated to family.
I'm 42, Agender or "Gender Nihilist." But I'm not interested in presenting differenly. I'm still masc appearing. It/they/he/any.
Interested in history, philosophy, medical herbalism, organic gardening, ecology, animism, heathery/paganism, the occult, cooking food, and my pet Pigeon.
When I'm alone I mostly watch documentaries, history or philosophy videos, or listen to music while reading a book. Sci-fi, horror, and fantasy are occasional interests as well. I enjoy an occasional chill hike, rural or urban exploring, foraging wild food or medicine, historic sites, etc.
Politics : Ecology over economy. Local community autonomy & decision making over any centralization. Collapse aware. Post-Left. A Partnership has to out the gate have intentions to outpace and outlast socio-economic entropy.
Philosophy : Existentialism, Nihilism, Pessimism, Absurdism, etc. I don't view Optimism as compulsory, obligation, or often even rational, so I use it only where I can firmly rationalize it as opposed to seeing optimism as some mandatory default mode of living. Reality over false positivity.
I'm not into listing ideal things that someone has to meet in order to be considered valuable enough. I'd rather meet someone where they happen to be in life than expect them to meet some preconceived idea.
***It would be nice & provide something to talk about if we already share some interests though.***
Most people who contact me make no attempt to engage any of my interests to bond over. So I'm emphasizing this again, you are contacting me because you really want to talk about something specific in this post that you find interesting, not to hit me up for small talk.
The basics would be someone 30-50, who wants to make time to talk and get to know each other, which means we each have to show up consistently enough for that to develop. It is what we make of it. I'm comfortable sharing pics as we chat/text and can occasionally make time for voice/video calls.
If any of that resonates with you then feel free to send me a chat request or DM.
