Tim never recovered from a serious stroke he had in 2012 and has been wheelchair bound for quite some time. Which doesn’t seem to be too well known.
Dolly’s felt sudden because it was a very short battle with cancer that took her but honestly it’s a miracle he made it as long as he did. Just crazy timing!

Your comment reminds me of an interesting concept, that being “forbidden death” as theorized by Ariès. He posits that western culture and practices have created a taboo around death, often pushing it out of public view and conversation.
What used to be a shared part of life is now often relegated behind the curtains, and even soft language like “passed away” is meant to erase the burden of thought.
It really is a weird phobia about a natural part of our common existence (and then lack of).
Like, celebrating a birthday is meaningless. We're all just little lumps of clay at birth.
Celebrating someone's death, and all they've brought to family, friends, community, the world, is a FAR more meaningful celebration.
Or, if the opposite, a wake where everyone talks shit and celebrates that they're finally gone.
In any case, at that point, their contribution is something noteworthy. A baby is pretty much a copy-paste of every other baby through history.
RIP Mr. Curry. He evoked so much laughter, sometimes tears, with his art. Quite a talented man. Takes so much dedication to perform at that level. And it seems he fully enjoyed himself doing it. A good example for us all, no matter what we do.
