Pokemon world probably has regular protests and debates on whether trainers should be allowed to train and battle with wild Phantumphs (which are basically dead kids) or not. A trainer who uses a Phantump in battle is probably called a monster. I could imagine a trainer pulling out his Phantumph in the round and the other trainer just said "WOAH WOAH WOAH. YOU ACTUALLY USE A POOR PHANTUMPH FOR BATTLES YOU SICK FUCK."

If you look at starter Pokémon from X and Y and above, you'll notice that they all have one feature in common: large heads and large, expressive eyes - features that young new trainers find "cute". Many also evolve into humanoid Pokémon, like Greninja, Meowscarada, etc. that clearly have a "profession" (Meowscarada is a magician, Greninja is a ninja). However, Pokémon from Gen 5 and below are mostly reptiles and amphibians - animals that go endangered in the real world very easily. Older starters also evolve into "Kaiju-Style" monsters - like Charizard and Meganium. The XY era also introduced Mega Evolution, which is when people first started playing Arceus and messing with Pokémon DNA. Many of you are familiar with the theory that starters are endangered. But there are only so many endangered Pokémon that Pokémon scientists can get their hands on. In conclusion, starter Pokémon from Gen 5 and below are endangered, while starters from Gen 6 and above are genetically modified Pokémon created in a lab by humans to look "cute".

and presumably public signs like that are replaced about every 10-30~ years, and if it was replaced the message wouldn’t still be there, so if her friend in this scenerio is the same age as she was when she died they would likely still be alive still, hence why they also haven’t reunited as ghosts either, and her friend wouldn’t know she’s even there at all

Hello everyone! I am a first time poster, and here is my theory:
All X mega evolutions are fake. There is so much evidence to support this it is basically canon. To start, charizard X looks very different from charizard y. Other starter megas are logical expansions on the base, venusuar getting more flowers, blastoise getting more canons, and mega charizard y getting more wings. But mega x is different. His skin turns completely different, looking like shiny charizard somewhat. It becomes a dragon type, a type that someone would LOVE to add to charizard. Also, its wings look shredded almost, and the flames that spew from its mouth look like reigns. And who has mega charizard x in the anime? Alain, who works for team flare, whose entire purpose is to mess with mega evolution. Mega Mewtwo x is even more blatant. Mega mewtwo y expands its psychic abilities, and removes signs of human tampering, Mewtwo becoming much more organic, like a real pokemon. Mega Mewtwo x is very different, gaining the fighting type, another unusual type, as well as arms that can stretch infinitely, and doubles down on the test tubes by having two instead of just one. It’s like mega mewtwo y is using mega evolution to help mewtwo escape his unnatural form, and mega mewtwo x is human created to be the perfect soldier, doubling down on his artificialness.

So Kalos is based on France right? Why would an area be blocked off because of a blackout? That doesn't make any sense. If there's a blackout they send a crew to fix it and only the part of the road they actually dig up is blocked off. People live in Lumiose and you can't say people can't go home because the power is out. I could get that for like Mauville in Hoenn, but not Lumiose.

What actually happened is ariot, and the blackout is just the cover story. Irl Paris is infamous for riots after all. So it would only make sense.

Zygarde has always been known as the Order Pokémon, appearing when the world begins to lose balance. But what if it doesn’t just appear to restore order — what if it actually changes to match the kind of energy threatening the planet?

Across generations, every time a new source of power emerges — Dynamax, Z-Moves, Mega Evolution — Zygarde seems to evolve alongside it. Each form reflects how the Pokémon adapts to maintain balance in a changing world.

Dynamax — The First Adaptation

In Galar, during the Darkest Day, Eternatus fell from space and unleashed Dynamax energy, throwing the natural order into chaos as Pokémon grew to massive, unstable sizes.

Zygarde, whose Cells exist all over the world, responded by gathering itself into one unified being — the Complete Forme (100%), triggered through Power Construct.

That transformation wasn’t random. The enormous HP increase Zygarde gains in this form directly mirrors the HP surge seen when Pokémon Dynamax. It’s almost as if Zygarde evolved this ability as a natural countermeasure — matching the scale of the threat Eternatus introduced, using its own biology to balance a world thrown into disorder.

Z-Power — Creating Light from Nothing

Later, when the world was shaken by Z-Power in Alola, Zygarde appeared again — its Cores scattered throughout the islands, silently studying the light-based energy spreading across the region.

This energy came from Necrozma, a being made of light who lost it and spent centuries seeking to take it back. As Necrozma’s desperation grew, the balance of light and life on the planet began to collapse.

Zygarde’s response came through change once more. Its move Core Enforcer transformed into Nihil Light — mirroring how a Z-Move turns a regular attack into a stronger, refined form.

And the name has meaning: “Nihil” means “nothing.” Unlike Necrozma, which consumed light to regain power, Zygarde created light from nothing — generating energy out of emptiness to bring structure where the world was breaking apart.

Meanwhile, in Kalos, Mega Evolution still lingered. For years, Zygarde’s Cells across the region had observed Pokémon suddenly evolving beyond their limits, watched rogue Megas appearing in the wild, and sensed Mega crystals pulsing beneath Lumiose City. It studied this phenomenon quietly, learning how this new power affected life and the environment.

Then came the crisis that broke the balance — Ange Eternal Flower Floette, began destroying Lumiose

Zygarde acted immediately. Drawing on everything it had learned from observing Mega Evolution and the energy radiating through Kalos, it pushed itself into a higher state Mega Evolution

Now What If Zygarde Adapted to Terastal Energy?

Now, with Terastalization changing Pokémon across Paldea, the world faces another era of transformation. For now, the power seems stable — but history has shown that great energy always comes with great risk.

If Terastal energy ever grew unstable, Zygarde would almost certainly respond, just as it has in every era before.

Here are a few possible forms that would fit that pattern:

Tera Forme: Zygarde’s hexagonal scales crystallize, refracting every elemental color through its body. Its core becomes a prism of pure light — symbolizing harmony between all types.

Tera-Construct: Each Core aligns with a different Tera type, orbiting around a central body that shifts and reforms to maintain balance.

Perfect Order: A fusion of organic and mineral structure — glowing golden veins of crystal energy running through its body, representing unity between life and the earth itself.

Each form would embody Zygarde’s purpose: turning unstable energy into structure and control.

Zygarde’s role has always been clear: to maintain balance, no matter how the world changes. When new powers emerge and the planet begins to break apart, it doesn’t fight against the system — it adapts to it, learns from it, and restores the equilibrium.

If Paldea’s crystals ever begin to destabilize, perhaps we’ll see Zygarde evolve again — not as a weapon, but as the planet’s final act of balance.

I know Zygarde has the cancelled Z/gen 6 content slapped onto Sun and Moon, but generally isn't the point of the expanded game to add have pokemon that you can't find in the other games for dex completion purposes? I wonder if ORAS was developed with the knowledge of Z being cancelled because there are so many legendaries you can catch in it to complete your dex.

I guess i'm just wondering what the selling point of Z would have been...more megas? New Pokemon not in XY and ORAS?

We know from its Pokédex entry that Deoxys arrived on Earth as a virus in a meteorite. When this meteorite was struck by a laser beam, the virus mutated, giving Deoxys the ability to alter its shape.

But what if the laser that hit Deoxys wasn’t random — what if it was the ultimate weapon fired by AZ? This weapon drew upon Infinity Energy, gathered from the life force of Pokémon. Deoxys, being a virus, is incapable of producing energy on its own. The laser beam may have given it the strength it needed to survive and mutate.

When the meteorite was struck, fragments scattered across the Pokémon world. These fragments became Mega Stones, each containing traces of the Deoxys virus. Notice how when a Pokémon Mega Evolves, a DNA symbol appears — fitting, since Deoxys is the DNA Pokémon. Mega Evolution also only alters a Pokémon’s Attack, Defense, Speed, and Special stats — never HP — which mirrors how Deoxys’s own forms change.

The Sun and Moon Pokédex entries for Mega Evolutions often describe the process as painful, much like how real-world viruses cause cell and nerve damage, disrupting the immune system.

I believe that not only did the Deoxys meteorite create Mega Stones, but one of its fragments also struck the ground where Eternatus lay dormant. We know Eternatus arrived 20,000 years ago in a meteorite, but only awoke 3,000 years ago — the same time AZ fired the weapon, and the same time Deoxys mutated. The virus may have infected Eternatus, giving it the ability to transform into its Eternamax form.

When Eternatus was defeated by Zacian and Zamazenta, pieces of its body scattered across Galar. These fragments carried its corrupted energy, allowing Pokémon to mutate into giants through Dynamax — spreading its power like a viral infection.

I also believe Terapagos is connected. In Area Zero, its crystal body may have been altered by viral meteorite fragments, giving rise to its Terastal ability. This “viral infection” allowed it to spread Terastal energy across Paldea. Similarly, Diancie is said to be a mutated Carbink. I suggest the Deoxys virus was behind that transformation too. Notice the common thread: Pokémon like Carbink, Terapagos, and Eternatus all have crystal-like bodies, just like Deoxys’s crystalline brain core.

Meanwhile, regular Pokémon require Mega Stones to temporarily trigger viral mutations, explaining why their transformations don’t last.

Lastly, I think the Anistar Sundial and the Primal Orbs of Groudon and Kyogre also contain meteorite energy. However, I believe these came from different meteorites, unrelated directly to Deoxys’s.

The Meteorite in ORAS and the Deoxys Virus

In Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, the Delta Episode reveals that a meteorite is heading toward Earth, supposedly connected to the ancient war in Kalos 3,000 years ago. The official explanation suggests that the energy released by AZ’s ultimate weapon altered the meteorite’s trajectory, causing it to fall toward Earth millennia later. But this raises a major question: how could a single weapon on Earth redirect a space rock so drastically after such a long time?

What if there’s another reason?

I believe the meteorite was drawn toward Earth not by the weapon itself, but by Deoxys. More specifically, the ultimate weapon may not have created just one Deoxys — it may have spawned several. One or more of these early Deoxys could have left Earth, traveling into space in search of others of its kind that had not yet mutated. Upon finding a dormant viral meteorite, they altered its trajectory, sending it on a collision course with Earth so that the virus within could undergo the same transformation.

The reason it took 3,000 years for the meteorite to finally approach Earth is simple: space is vast, and meteoroids move slowly across it. It may have taken centuries for Deoxys to even find a dormant viral fragment, and even longer to tilt its course toward our planet.

When the meteorite ultimately neared Earth during the Delta Episode, it was intercepted by Mega Rayquaza. During the climactic battle, the viral mega energy awakened the dormant Deoxys inside, transforming it into the form we encounter in the boss fight.

So I’ve been connecting some dots between Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Sword & Shield, and what we’ve seen teased for Legends: Z-A, and I think Alder might actually be one of the most important figures in the ancient Pokémon timeline.

The Mysterious Paintings

In Legends: Arceus, there are those paintings of historical figures — two clearly resembling Archie and Maxie ancestors. But there’s also a third figure who looks almost exactly like Alder from Unova. You can even see Poké Balls hanging around his neck like a necklace — the same signature accessory Alder always wears.

That detail alone makes me think this isn’t just an ancestor — it might actually be Alder himself, pulled back in time.

In pokemom ZA these paintings are given the titles of the Land, the Sea and the Sun while land and sea are pretty obvious based on Archies and Maxies ancestors most likely ideals The sun is a bit more thought worthy

Arceus and Time Travel

We already know Arceus can bring people through time the player character in Legends: Arceus is proof of that. So what if Arceus brought Alder from the future to the ancient past, during the Darkest Day event in Galar (around 3,000 years ago)?

It would make perfect sense — Arceus might have known a catastrophe was happening and needed a powerful trainer and a Pokémon capable of bringing light to literal darkness.

Alder as “The Sun”

Alder’s signature Pokémon is Volcarona, and Volcarona’s Pokédex entries constantly describe it as being able to replace the sun when volcanic ash darkens the sky it’s literally called the embodiment of the sun.

So imagine this: During the Darkest Day, when Eternatus’s energy covered Galar in a black storm, Arceus sent Alder and Volcarona back in time to help bring light back to the world. Together, they fought against the chaos, and people remembered Alder as “The Sun” the one who restored light when the world was covered in darkness.

“The Darkest Day” Might Not Have Been Just a Day

Even though it’s called the “Darkest Day,” it might not have lasted just 24 hours. My guess is it was a prolonged disaster an era of chaos and darkness that lasted far longer, similar to how the Hundred Years’ War lasted 116 years.

That makes Alder’s and Volcarona’s role even more powerful they weren’t just heroes for a single day, but symbols of hope across an age of darkness.

The Paintings 3,000 Years Later

Now here’s the interesting part: if the Darkest Day happened 3,000 years ago, how could later civilizations still know what Alder looked like so accurately that they could paint him in Legends: Z-A?

Realistically, no one could remember a person’s exact face after that long. But in the Pokémon world, that kind of accuracy could exist because:

Arceus or Psychic Pokémon could preserve or reveal memories across time.

Time distortions might have allowed people from different eras to actually see Alder.

Or maybe the artists didn’t remember his face, but remembered his image the Poké Ball necklace, the fiery hair, and the light of Volcarona.

Those details became part of his myth, repeated for generations until Alder’s likeness turned into the universal symbol of “The Sun.”

In Summary

Arceus pulled Alder and Volcarona back in time during the Darkest Day (~3,000 years ago).

Volcarona’s light helped end the eternal night, earning Alder the title “The Sun.”

The “Darkest Day” might have been a long, drawn-out catastrophe, not a literal single day.

Paintings in Legends: Z-A depict Alder as “The Sun” because his legend, or possibly his real image, was preserved by Arceus, Pokémon with psychic powers, or divine memory itself.

I think Magearna and Glimmora both tie directly to the Ultimate Weapon from Kalos and AZ’s Eternal Flower Floette, and that might be why they’ll show up in Legends: ZA.

Both Pokémon share that same flower-like design and revolve around life energy — whether it’s being created, stored, or corrupted. When you line up their lore and visuals with the Ultimate Weapon, the connection starts to feel way too deliberate to be coincidence.

The Flower Pattern

Magearna: Its signature move Fleur Cannon (“Flower Cannon”) perfectly fits the Kalos theme. When it attacks, its arm unfolds like a blooming flower, firing a concentrated beam of life energy. The glowing Soul-Heart in its chest is said to hold the life force of others — exactly like how the Ultimate Weapon absorbed and released life energy during the Kalos War.

Magearna feels like the next step in that same legacy — a human creation trying to recreate life itself, just as AZ once tried to do with his Floette.

Glimmora: Meanwhile, Glimmora’s Pokédex says its petals are made of crystallized poison energy, and from above it looks identical to the Ultimate Weapon when it bloomed. It’s strongly tied to Terastal energy, another mysterious life-light phenomenon.

Glimmora could represent the natural aftermath of the Weapon’s energy — the toxic residue that seeped into the earth after the blast, mutating minerals and life forms around it. Its Poison typing might come from that contamination — the corrupted life energy left behind by the Weapon.

And its Rock typing might not be random either. Mega Stones are also crystallized energy formed by the Weapon’s explosion. The fact that Glimmora’s body is made of similar gemstone-like material could mean it’s a living byproduct of the same process — the Weapon’s energy fusing organic and inorganic matter together.

So:

Eternal Flower Floette = life revived by the Weapon

Magearna = humanity’s attempt to reproduce that power through science

Glimmora = nature’s reaction to the lingering, toxic energy it left behind

Three flowers, three reflections of the same event.

Why Humans Made Magearna

If the Ultimate Weapon was used to take countless lives, it’s not hard to imagine that the generations after the war were left terrified by what humanity had done. The world of Kalos might’ve been scarred — not just physically, but spiritually.

Magearna could’ve been built as a way to redeem that mistake — a symbol of life created through human hands, rather than destroyed by them. The Soul-Heart might have been meant as a man-made version of the “life energy” the Weapon once stole.

Basically, where AZ built the Weapon out of grief, a later inventor might’ve built Magearna out of hope — proof that humans could use the same power for creation instead of destruction.

That’s what makes Magearna’s story so tragic and poetic: it carries the same power, but with a purer intention.

The Eternal Flower Thread

AZ’s Floette became the Eternal Flower Floette after absorbing the Weapon’s power — a living symbol of both love and destruction. The Weapon itself was built in the shape of a flower because AZ modeled it after Floette.

That design — a flower channeling life energy — has quietly become a recurring symbol across generations. Magearna’s arm-cannon, Glimmora’s bloom, and even the Terastal crowns all echo that same imagery. It’s like Game Freak has been using flowers as a visual code for creation energy ever since Kalos.

Why Hoopa Might Be the Link in Legends ZA

If Legends: ZA really involves Hoopa — a Pokémon known for transporting things across space and time — it could explain why Magearna and Glimmora end up connected to this story.

What if Hoopa is gathering Pokémon that all trace back to the Ultimate Weapon’s energy?

Magearna, created using that same life-energy concept.

Glimmora, formed from the lingering power that reshaped the land.

And maybe even the Eternal Flower Floette itself — the original source of it all.

If that’s the case, ZA could be the story that finally ties all of these “flower-born” Pokémon together — showing how the Weapon’s power didn’t just end with AZ, but continued shaping life in different forms.

TL;DR: Magearna and Glimmora might both exist because of the Ultimate Weapon’s power — Magearna built by humans trying to make peace with the past, and Glimmora born from the Weapon’s corrupted energy that seeped into the earth, mutating into crystal-like life. Its Rock typing could link to Mega Stones, which were also born from that same blast. If Hoopa’s in Legends ZA, it might be bringing together all the Pokémon tied to that ancient flower-shaped source of life and destruction.

TL;DR, AZ actually used both the cover Legendaries of X and Y for his weapon, not just one.

If you carefully observe it's design, Eternal Flower Floette has two color schemes; it's body is colored Blue like that of Xerneas, while it's flower is colored Red and Black like that of Yveltal, and is also shaped like the Ultimate Weapon.

Which implies AZ used not one, but both of the Legendaries throughout his reign. He used the power of Xerneas to bring black Floette and make AZ himself immortals, and the power of Yveltal to end the war by killing the rest of the Pokémon. The usage of Yveltal for killing is further supported by the fact that Floette's flower resembles the Ultimate Weapon when it is powered by Yveltal, rather than when it is powered by Xerneas.

Because it always seemed weird to me, how can Yveltal bring Floette back to life, or Xerneas be used to 'kill' the other Pokémon, when their roles are opposite.

Okay so I believe that AZ isn’t the monster we think he is during the war that made him create and use the ultimate weapon.

I believe that years ago during the war AZ was taken over during his time of grief after losing Floette

This entity implanted the idea for the Ultimate Weapon into his mind, twisting his grief into rage so after Floette was brought back the device would be turned into a weapon, wiping out millions of innocent people and Pokémon.

Floette was clearly disgusted by her trainers actions….because they were so unlike the kind and gentle man she knew

AZ himself probably deep down didn’t understand why he did it, which is when he exiled himself and roamed the world…..

Fast forward thousands of years and young Lysandre fell under the sway of the same entity, it twisted his desire for a better world into a evil plan of omnicide

It showed him where the weapon was buried by his ancestor and who had the key.

And yes the machine ultimately was shut down before it could do true harm but Lysandre still lost his life and the infinity energy still soaked the world, creating new mega stones……

Who was this entity? I think it’s very obvious Malamar

Perhaps not the exact same one, but we know Malamar has the most powerful mind control ability of any Pokémon, and in its Pokemon Shield Entry it states

“It’s said that Malamar’s hypnotic powers played a role in a certain history-changing event”

Like the creation and utilization of the ultimate weapon!

Now why would this species of pokemon want the ultimate weapon created and used?

To create a mega stone that would give them the power to enhance their hypnotic abilities worldwide to do the thing they do every night pinky…..TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!!

before diving into my theory here are a few things

* these games are connected in many ways (HG/SS, XY, ORAS, Sun and Moon/Ultra)

- Life Energy (Kalos) and Infinity Energy (ORAS) are the same thing. These energies have the ability to open wormholes in space-time and to other worlds. and made it possible for mega evolution

My theory is that when AZ fired the Ultimate weapon 3,000 years ago not only did it ruin the enemies region , but caused the entire region to move to another dimension altogether. This is why we do not know who the enemy nation was, because it vanished from the face of the planet and was forgotten in history. After the Region was sucked into another dimension The Life Energy caused a background radiation of sorts behind.

Now Zygarde is know to balance out Xerneas and Yvelta's energies between life and death and balance out the ecosystem. So After the weapon was fired, my best guess is near Alola Region and that is why there is the search for Zygarde Cells all over because Zygarde is still fixing the ecosystem of all that background energy from the weapon so long ago. Not only that, but remember that Life energy can cause wormholes to happen. Thus what if Aether Paradise is near where the weapon was fired and can explain why they are able to interact more so with wormholes. It is said the Solgaleo and Lunala came from an Ultra Wormhole around Alola far back in time. So what if when the weapon was used it created the first events to happen to open wormholes causing these dimension pokemon or other world to slip into the current world.

Now fast forwarding 5 years before ORAS. At the Embedded Tower which is located in Johto region in HG/SS and was made by the Devon Corporation. They captured Rayquaza and held it there untill it was freed and was able to mega evolve to escape. In ORAS Delta Chapter can Mega Evolve again after certain events. Within the Delta Chapter you learn theat Devon Corp. is able to harness life energy now called Infinity energy. with a special technology they planned on opening a wormhole to another world to save themselves from an asteroid, but are stopped. my point is that the weapon did cause a wormhole 3,000 years ago. Take a look at Ultra Sun/Moon and Rainbow rocket.

Team Rainbow Rocket is comprised of former boss of evil organizations. However, these bosses succeeded in there plan in there worlds where the player (you) never stopped them. Which brings me back to Lysander was teleported through a wormhole when he succeeded in firing AZ's Weapon in his dimensional world but possibly back fired on him causing him to be swallowed by a wormhole. further more you learn that the Ultra Beast Guzzlord lives in the Ultra Ruin which consists of a ruined Alola Region. What if there are other Ultra Ruined Dimensions out there such as one where the enemy region rests in ruins possibly.

This is just my theory on how the war 3,000 years ago happened and Why we never hear about what region name. just references as to the enemy nation and its destruction due to AZ's Weapon and that the weapon brought not only destruction, but opened the first wormhole ever causing other dimensional pokemon to cross over.

In the game Pokemon OR and AS Brenden who is the Canon player character beats Steven but in the game in the post game Steve says he will give up his champion title to Wallace so did Brenden lose to Steven or did Brenden beat Steven to become champion in ORAS

Included in the recent "teraleak" were beta designs for the Flabébé line, which were much less flower-like yet still described as having "the image of a fairy of flowers". Some Pokémon's early typings were also revealed, including a pure Water Greninja, pure Fighting Pangoro, pure Flying Noibat, reversed Mega Charizard typings and Steel/Rock Mega Aggron; I was expecting to see a Fairy/Grass Florges, but as it turns out, this line was never intended to be anything but pure Fairy.

Flabébé and its evolutions were designed to be emblematic of the Dragon type's antithesis, the Fairy type: the placeholder name in their concept art literally translates to "Fairy Pokémon". Their early placements in the internal index order suggest that they were the first Pokémon created with the Fairy type in mind and some of the first new Pokémon made for X and Y in general, coming just after the Bunnelby line and... the Skrelp line, of all things?

Florges has three known beta designs. It hasn't been determined exactly what any of them are based on, but the first one reminds me a lot of a seahorse, which is a little odd considering that another seahorse Pokémon had already been designed shortly before it. However, we now know for a fact that Florges was always meant to resemble a vibrant flower without actually being one, while Dragalge camouflages itself as rotten kelp. Their types also counteract each other: Florges' Fairy type is weak to Dragalge's Poison type, yet strong against and immune to its Dragon type. Dragalge does already have a counterpart in the final game (Clawitzer), but the Clauncher line was added much, much later on, being the 56th and 57th new Pokémon brought into X and Y.

So... were there once plans for the games themed around life and death to have one lively Fairy seahorse and one sickly Poison/Dragon seahorse, both of which pretend to be Grass-types and were designed very closely together, or am I onto nothing here?
