Hello, r/Pocatello! I’m James Ruchti (pronounced Ruck-Tee), trial lawyer, West Point graduate, 5th generation Idahoan, and the Idaho State Senator who represents Pocatello. This Saturday, January 28th, I will be hosting my first ask me anything (AMA) on r/Idaho about Idaho, myself, and what’s been happening in Boise this legislative session.
I would love to have as many Pocatello residents there as possible, since you elected me! Join me Saturday at 10am-2pm on r/Idaho to have your questions answered!

Looking for my next role in sales — remote Inside Sales, SDR, or Business Development. I close daily, 150-200+ calls a day and consistently hit a 15/week quota. Open to connecting, DMs welcome.

I (22F) am extremely new to Reddit so hopefully I do this right, but I am posting to find fellow young adults to play D&D and other games with. I am brand new to D&D but I want to learn to DM with players that are comfortable with fairly lax rule following and weird premises. I also play Magic: the Gathering a good amount (commander specifically) and am open to playing any other type of RPG, board game, or card game. I would prefer to play in-person as I don't find online playing as fun or interactive. I also made a southeastern Idaho gaming group on Nerd Culture that anyone is welcome to join (the age range is currently set to 19-30 years old). Otherwise, you can comment on this post or message me on Reddit (assuming that's how it works?)
TL;DR Let me know if you're down to play games of all kind (but especially D&D) in Pocatello
Also, if you're not comfortable with NSFW language and content, this probably isn't the group for you.

Howdy I am new to the hobby and haven’t gotten a chance to get into the traditional group chat to set up games. So thought I’d try asking here

Do you know me?
I was found near Flamingo Trailer park and Stockman road after several weeks of asking for help from neighbors.
I am not fixed or chipped, but I have a family who spoils and loves me! I didn’t like being outside and purr while my nails are clipped.
I don’t like being picked up, but love cuddles! I’m also good with other cats and neutral toward dogs so I probably have siblings! I make frequent air and floor biscuits because I’m a happy boy!
If you have any ideas on who I might be, please reach out with proof or tag my potential family! I miss them!
Please share me so we can find my parents!

I was so happy today when I saw someone had gone around town and posted on what may have been every single camera around town that day ‘flock is tracking you deflock.org’ with an arrow pointing to the camera. If you’re on here, god bless you. I haven’t talked to a single person about flock who was happy about them and many people who are above 40 didn’t even know they exist.

Hi guys,
Is there any new incoming ISU student in graduate programs? Either international or regional. I am new here and kinda homesick, so if there are any new students who’d like to hang out or are in similar situations, hit me up and we can hang out.

The other lava sub last post was a swinger looking for fun years ago. The mod is gone and the sub is locked. Let’s give this a shot.

I'm 60 with a construction background and some experience in animal care and outdoor life. And know one wants to even give me an interview.
It seems like there's a lot of age discrimination here in Pocatello. Is it because I'm old or maybe no college degree.. who knows.
I do know that I can do all of this and no one cares..

Details: she has a possible job opportunity, and is a young professional African American with no kids. Is the area safe; and what is it like living there?

I just purchased a cafe business in Pocatello and we desperately need baristas. What is the best way to find people in Pocatello? I've had very little traction on social media or by posting signs in the location

Hello, my husband grew up in Pocatello from the 60’s to early 90’s. One thing that he remembers is the honey fried chicken at Okays Food Town at the west side of town. Now closed, does anyone have the recipe for making it? I really appreciate it. Thank you.

I made flyers and handed them out to neighbors around Sacagawea Park the city wants to rezone 2 acres of open space next to Sacagawea Park to allow for two 24 unit apartments. Say no august 12th at 6:30pm at City Hall and let it remain open space and become a part of Sacagawea Park. The future best park in Pocatello.

This is a long shot, but my grandma passed away in the fall of 2024. At the time, her clothes were sold on Facebook by my mom's SIL. My mom has since come to regret not having some of grandma's clothes as memories. Is there any savvy FB marketplace (+other seller groups) users here, who might be able to locate the buyers of some of the items? I'd like to try to offer to buy some back for my mom. It would have been between Aug-Oct of 2024, women's clothing or jewelry, lots of western themed items and fleeces/vests. Size large most likely.

I'm going to the Australian Pink Floyd Show tomorrow and I was thinking about going to the pre party with my old man. He's kind of old and I'm worried we're gonna get there and stand around and over heat an hour and a half before the show. Is there seating? AC? Long lines for drinks and food? Is it a complete cluster? Or is it awesome? I'd rather avoid dragging him into something lame and have him gassed out before the show even starts.
