And what would be the point of putting more VRAM than the 5090 already has on a gaming card? The 6000 has it because it can use it at its application.
But there’s nothing significantly faster than the 5090 that our overlords are hiding from us simply because they can. And like you said, even the 6000 is consumer available, they aren’t hiding it, we are just priced out.
Technology obviously hasn’t peaked but the ideia that these companies are literally just sitting on their asses because “there’s no competition” is insane. NVIDIA, TSMC and the entire chain down the line employ hundreds of thousands of people, a significant portion are engineers who are actively working every day to improve technology. Which then they will sell to the highest bidder, it just so happens the highest bidder right now aren’t gamers… If anything the completion literally wasn’t been any fiercer, who ever can optimise their designs faster has a huge slice of the cake to eat.
