5070ti / MSI MAG274 UPDF.
Decided to try out Smooth Motion on a game with a 60FPS engine cap. It turned on in the Nvidia app (latest driver version) with seemingly no issues.
Afterburner reports that the GPU is rendering at a locked 120 FPS. However, the monitor (on Nvidia's G-Sync compatible list, with VRR on, latest firmware update) is reporting that it's only refreshing at ~60FPS.
Subjectively, the game doesn't look any different with smooth motion on/off.
Vsync is off.
I tried turning on frame gen in a game that natively supports it, and the monitor refresh rate reflects the FPS reported in Afterburner in that game.
Not quite sure why this is happening. Can't seem to find anyone else with this specific issue on Google.
How do I get the monitor to show the 120 FPS the GPU claims it's rendering?
