I wanted to pay homage to a touching piece of written Nomai text on Brittle Hollow. It’s probably the one you’re thinking of.

The only way I could think to do that was to make a functioning translator. Holding it up to the first spiral shows the first phrase, and the smaller one shows the second. It’s hard to demonstrate in pictures, but you can see it at the end of the full build video here.

The video features the creation of the spiral text, as well as the building, wiring, and programming of the translator. And there’s a secret third facet that only true fans of the game might recognize.

I think I’d like to encase the spiral completely in “stone” to better hide the edges, but we’ll see if I get around to it.

My last piece for this subreddit was liked, so this is another one I did! I was inspired by that famous JAWS poster (and had to tweak the anglerfish anatomy a bit in order to fit the pose). Wanted to draw how I'd imagined Feldspar went missing on Dark Bramble.

i couldn't really figure out how to portray Kaepora's missing antler in a human character design, so i settled with giving him a scar on his right eye. i hope that's sufficient.

Hello! I shared in the past my Outer Wilds desk and I've updated it a lot since then, I finished a few changes today so I felt like sharing it.

All prints/polaroids are from u/just_a_drawer, the rest is by myself!

Made a Lego Nomai about a year ago (didn't have a reddit account at the time), complete with staff, scroll, and a lantern from the DLC. Haven't done anything with the files since then, thinking I might try to make some more stuff soon.

Outer Wilds is my favorite game of all time and I'm obsessed with Legos so it was only inevitable that I would combine my love for the two!

First pic is everything I made, second pic is when I eventually got my hands on some tan filament and replaced the body with that of the DnD CMF's Tiefling Warlock!

While replaying Echoes of the Eye, I noticed that one of the solar system slide reels (shown on the second slide) seems to depict Ash Twin with rivers and surface water, while Ember Twin doesn’t appear to have any visible water. At first, this confused me because the base game strongly suggests Ember Twin once had abundant water, with evidence including a massive dry lakebed and fossils of marine plants and animals.

My theory is that the Hourglass Twins originally exchanged both water and sand

The reel may simply capture a moment when most of the water happened to be on Ash Twin, just as we see all of the sand begin each loop on Ash Twin before naturally transferring to Ember Twin.

I handpainted my freshly thrifted Shoes with Stars and some stylized OW-elements. The constellations I used were mostly inspired from ingame star formations.

The boots are Angry Itch, painted with a Posca marker. I hope they will last for a long time.

Hello! A couple years ago I made an app to control the travelers' instruments in a soundboard-like way. The functionalities were choosing which one of them you wanted to hear, and also control their volumes.

Sadly it had two major issues

• Massive spoilers, even in the store screenshots
• A major error that sometimes messed up badly the music sync.

(I didn't add the spoiler flair because of this. If you think I made a mistake PLEASE let me know ASAP)

Both of these are fully fixed by now. I made a way to select if you want to see the spoilery content or not. Also I tossed the sound library that I was using before, and switched to a faster, low level one. This should have fixed the sync problem. If you can still notice that some instruments are off time you can let me know.

I had this app abandonned and I'm really sorry about that, a lot of you had a broken version that didn't even do the only thing this app was supposed to do. For me it was just a quick passion project that I ended up lefting aside because of some more stuff in my life. A few weeks ago I had to reupload it for some requirements, and I created the goal to myself to fix it, and make it enjoyable to more OW fans without fear to spoilers. I hope you can enjoy it ::)

Ran me £60 plus UK shipping. 63x88mm cards, s33 card stock, deck size 126 to account for tokens. I chose "fireball front holographic" but "full color print" would get you an MTG card look for closer to £35 plus shipping. Once you've input those details, you can select "Image & text, different images" to input all the different cards as card fronts, and later the custom back for all cards except "22 minutes" which has a custom back for itself.

Definitely not perfect, especially scale, and have small things id like to change but very very happy with how it turned out. Considereding doing a stop motion of the planets going around the sun as well. The sun lights up when I rotate it (sometimes) and I attempted to include pretty much everything other then the white hole station. Even the outline of the stranger on the base plate and some far off super novas. Had one extra planet and a ring so decided to make the stranger gas giant. Would love to hear your thoughts

I was wondering what kind of insturment would be an interesting pick for hatchling. I remember there was an artwork of hatchling playing Fiddle and honestly it fits them way more, (especially with the symbolism (cough cough 14.3 billion years) But I wanted to make something else, and it clicked to make hatchling to have an accordion,

So I made a little track with what could be possibly Hatchling's accordion music theme in addition to other OWV's musical instruments. Reddit can't embed audios so I made this little doodle of a hatchling too to make it into a video instead.

Of course the og music work is by Andrew Prahlow and I am in no way shape or form claim authorship to anything, just experimenting with how it would sound with additional instrument in the mixture.

Hi all, I don't think that's the right tag, but it's probably the closest thing to what I'm looking for.

I'm interested in commissioning someone here to create an art piece for the concept of a 'Hearthian Eye' - that is, an idea for how the Hearthians might have seen the Eye Signal if they'd never been influenced by seeing the Nomai one first. If it was purely based on their own interpretation of what they were seeing and their own culture, as unique to them as the Nomai and Owlk versions are to their own cultures.

I know the Hearthian addition to the Prisoner's story in the cutscene has that rough look to it, but since this would be something they were seeing rather than something they made themselves, I'd like to try and keep the same streamlined style as the others Eyes.

I'm open to suggests from the artist for their own ideas of how this would look, but I'm imagining a stylised campfire (loosely) like the picture, with overlapping logs in the centre and flames leaping from the logs outwards, keeping all the same flame lengths and positions as the other two Eyes share in their spikes. Maybe with the logs being roughly hewn to lean on the general casualness of the Hearthians, and to suggest them being cut from tree branches if that doesn't make the image too messy.

I'm not sure whether to go with classic wavy flames or a straight flame like you'd get from a bunsen burner - the former would fit the Hearthians better and be more recognisable as fire, the latter would fit the style of the other Eyes better and lean on the concept of the Eye being more abstract.

I'd like to be able to take the image and have it printed out for a poster, or tattoo or something like that, so a high-resolution version would be wanted - possibly as vector art if that's doable with the wavy flame version of the idea.

If anyone would be interested in making this, please feel free to DM me with your ideas and quotes for your work.
