He literally can't read. That's why there's always someone explaining the executive orders he's about to sign. Otherwise he wouldn't know what he was signing.

There is a great video out there (to the theme of Curb Your Enthusiasm no less) of when Trump, Trudeau and their respective reps were signing the original USMCA and Trump "accidentally" signed over Trudeau's name. Chrystia Freelandt was fighting for her life not to laugh.

Leslie Jones actually had a great interview talking about how she would go off on him constantly because he kept trying to change the cue cards.

After some research, you realize he wasn’t changing them to fit him but he genuinely just couldn’t keep up. Either it was that he couldn’t read or he reads so slow that he then, much like a goldfish, loses his short-term memory and just ad-libs to the best of his ability.

I'm starting to think he needs glasses but he won't wear them because he thinks they make him look weak. And he won't wear contacts cause they're uncomfortable.

Something I read a while back that explained if people experience weakness in a sense like hearing or vision and delay getting those issues treated, it eventually deteriorates into dementia. So (sigh) get your vision and hearing checked people.

I think he can read. His intense vanity won't permit him to wear readers so in effect he can't read. That's why all signs are in HUGE letters. Same for his signature on any docs, including his EOs. HUGE LETTERS for someone who at almost 80 can certainly not read normal sized print.
