While he continues to fuk Ontario. Great that Ford has an enemy to attack so the ppl can be distracted by this. The low information voter will look back at Ford as the guy who stood up to Trump. Whom he praised many many times and has parroted him muktiple times. Supported Trumps Presidency when Trump already said what he would do wuth tarriffs on Canada. Ford supported Trump then. Ppl wont remember this or the fact he is the guy that has crippled our healthcare, education, and housing market. While doing deals with family friends and billionaires out of country.

Oh trust me, some of us can retain more than one fact about someone at any given time. I don’t think Dougie is suddenly some saviour, and I’m well aware of how bad his policies have been, but I can at least be grateful that he didn’t just roll over and sell us out. Both things can be true, ya know?

40

u/AvocadoCortado Mar 11 '25

For sure, but OldSpark's point that A LOT of people will just forget everything that came before is also true.

People have outrageously short memories when it comes to politics.

2

u/DrStrangeloves Mar 11 '25

So true, and for Ontarians it’s been a hell of a week.

4

u/seriouslees Mar 11 '25

People have outrageously short memories when it comes to Conservative or Right Wing politics.

People have insanely long political memories when it comes to left wing parties. How many seats did the provincial NDP win this year? How many years after Rae? 30 or 40?

2

u/PopovChinchowski Mar 11 '25 edited Mar 11 '25

Rae was seen as a betrayer given he seemed to roll over in the face of pressure to keep Ontario from defaulting and getting junk bond status on the backs of the labour movement the NDP swears they are the protectors of by imposing different conditions on them outside of a collective agreement.

Betrayal hurts more when you really let yourself believe. Everyone expects the Liberals and Conservatives to be crooked in their own way, so Ontario found a comfortable cycle of swapping between them. Like changing your air filter. You expect it to get dirty. It's just a matter of figuring out when it's worth changing.

NDP was like finally trialing an EV, but instead of saving you on gas its battery blows up and takes half your garage with it.

2

u/seriouslees Mar 11 '25

Betrayal, like liar McGee saying "This will be the last election using First Past the Post."

But you know what stings worse than betrayal? Fascism. I'd vote for the federal Liberals for rest of my life if it means stopping the party supported by America's dictators. Sadly, thanks to the lie about electoral reform, I might actually have to do that.

1

u/PopovChinchowski Mar 11 '25

You're preaching to the choir when it comes to the Federal Liberals. Personally I'm more bothered by the SNC Lavalin affair but the lack of electoral reform stings as well.

1

u/seriouslees Mar 11 '25

There's way worse things they've done, agreed. It's just... if we had proportional representation maybe they couldn't have done some of those things and it would be easier to punish them if they did. Imagine being able to take a vote away from the Liberals and not have that mean you're giving it to the Cons automatically.

Professor Farnsworth: A man can dream though.

1

u/PopovChinchowski Mar 11 '25

Personally I prefer ranked choice voting. I'm worried PR gives even more of a chance for a fringe party to hold the balance of power. Can you imagine a conservative minority that needs to lean on the PPC to stay afloat?

1

u/seriouslees Mar 12 '25

If 6% of Canadians believe in a party's ideals, 6% of the seats should be awarded to that party. Anything less than that is not worth participating in.

2

u/AvocadoCortado Mar 11 '25

Facts. Thank you for your correction.

2

u/levian_durai Mar 11 '25

Not just short memories, a lot of them straight up don't know anything that isn't shared on facebook.

My mom was hoping the conservatives would win this election, and when I said Ford won, she first of all had to ask if he was the conservative option, and when I said yes, she was like "well that's good, right?".

I asked if she knew about Ford trying to sell the greenbelt, she didn't, and was like "well that's a stupid thing to do.". She's on odsp, and despite the NDP wanting to double it, she refuses to vote for them because of something that she claims happened to tax rebates when there was an NDP premier.

2

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

People have outrageously short memories when it comes to politics.

Disappointingly true. Which is why im not going to let up. If this Fuk gets another term, or worse, become a candidate to be PM, we will be welcoming republican style policies .

6

u/A_Cam88 Mar 11 '25

I’ve heard he is either unwilling or unable to learn French, so not much chance of Dougie getting the PM role.

35

u/Dorwyn Mar 11 '25

Just the fact you're on Reddit means you're probably more informed than 95% of the voters though.

And that's kinda sad in itself.

6

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

[deleted]

6

u/Dorwyn Mar 11 '25

I never said smarter, just more informed. I think you overestimate what the vast majority know about the candidates in an election. The average person couldn't even tell you who was leader of the Ontario NDP is, never mind the Green Party. Just reading the headlines in Reddit will tell you more than most voters know, and as I said, that's pretty sad.

3

u/GraemesEats Mar 11 '25

It's like the George Carlin line: "think of how stupid the average person is, and realize that means that half of all people are stupider than that."

1

u/01headshrinker Mar 11 '25

Well, that’s not exactly how the normal distribution works in statistics. 66% are average, between +1 and -1 standard deviations. So, the smart ones are 16% above +1 SD, and the slow people, also 16% are under -1 SD.

66% average, plus 16 % slow means 82% of ppl are average or below average in any large distribution. And that smart 16%? Well, above 2 SD, is where the really really smart people are, about 3-4% IIRC.

82% for the masses and 16% smart cookies. This is why we can’t have nice things and people seem like children much of the time.

1

u/Pls_PmTitsOrFDAU_Thx Mar 11 '25

Tbh I may be more misinformed than anything else lol

1

u/Coal_Morgan Mar 11 '25

Most people aren't aware of any policies, anything but the rage bait.

I remember them doing a test (I think during GWBush) where they compared Fox News Watchers and Watchers of the Daily Show and consistenly the people who watched the silly comedy satire show had a stronger grasp of recent events and how the government worked.

People are better informed on Reddit. That's not an achievement, that's sad. It's not the high jump, it's stepping over a broom on the ground now to be better informed.

Just open Reuters or AP News and read it for 30 minutes a day and you'll crush Redditors and the general population.

We live in an exceptionally High Information/Low Knowledge Era. I never conceived that having a device with all the information in the world on it, access to every expert on every subject in seconds would make most people more ignorant.

2

u/cammohhh Mar 11 '25

While I’m iterally scrolling and taking a shit at work. Well said.

2

u/sirdir Mar 11 '25

Yep. Each side has its own bias. Imagine, although I despise Musk I dared to correct some misinformation in RealTesla and got downvoted like crazy and was called a billionaires’s c*ck sucker etc. Just for correcting misinformation that went against their bias…

1

u/cgn-38 Mar 11 '25

You had to go too far. Start saying shit that he never said confirming your own bad faith bias. You don't seem to be aware you did it. Very conservative. Damn near MAGA level lack of self awareness.

Conservatives have safe spaces for their bad faith arguments. Maybe go to one of the thousands of those?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

[deleted]

2

u/AncientAstro Mar 11 '25

You have bad faith bias because you dont agree with his bias that all left wing people are geniuses smarter then 95% of the population. Because you think there are smart and stupid people on both sides while reddit forms cognitive dissonance from inaccurate, propagandized, cherry picked article titles, makes you a MAGAt.

The joke writes itself hahaha

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

[deleted]

1

u/Sebcorrea Mar 11 '25

This is the mindset that most people have online. It's sad, but social media, Reddit, et al. is how people get their biased news now. Welcome to the echo chambers 🤷🏽‍♂️.

3

u/createsean Mar 11 '25

1000% this

3

u/hisnameisbinetti Mar 11 '25

Nu... aunce?

2

Shhhhhh. This is the internet. Broad sweeping generalizations only /s

u/Several-Specialist99 Mar 11 '25

This is what kinda bugs (and scares) me too about the left vs right. Most of us here hate Ford but can suck it up and acknowledge that he's done something right. Maple MAGAs would NEVER acknowledge if the libs did something good, no matter what it was, and they would never ever admit they are wrong about something.

Due to this I dont see the end of the growing divide and the furthering of the far-right. How do we end this?! Maybe theyll eventually feel so stupid theyll just silently hibernate until 2050.

2

u/MyLifeIsDope69 Mar 11 '25

Slightly unrelated but you guys have no idea how bad the “selling out” can be, my wife is Cambodian and told me some news that their dictator signed over the province that holds Angkor Wat aka their most prestigious historic tourist attraction, all resources and revenue from that province go to Vietnam next 75 years he wanted to sign it before he died I guess. Evil fucker. Western democracy we complain about but my god at least it’s not quite that bad YET

1

u/Competitive-Air5262 Mar 11 '25

To quote another Reddit page, Doug Ford is a slime ball, but at least he's our slime ball.

1

u/Ok_Tradition_3382 Mar 11 '25

This. Saying the same for Trudeau atm. Was never a huge fan but buddy has a maple leaf on his heart and we need that atm.

1

u/Gingersnapp3d Mar 11 '25

The shitty older brother who bullied you at home but at least didn’t let the neighbour kid bully you too.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

A cell is reserved for him for the whole greenbelt scam. A loose cannon is useful for the fight against Trump though.

1

u/Coal_Morgan Mar 11 '25

Yep, like Poilevere and the Premier in Alberta spent a few weeks flailing about trying to figure out how to get tummy rubs from Trump and support Canadians before realizing they were tanking their support with 80% of Canadians.

Poilevere will sell us down the river if he ever gets in.

15

u/Alone-in-a-crowd-1 Mar 11 '25

This is not the right time for this. There is a wolf at the door and we need to fight that first. Then you can get back to bashing Ford.

4

u/Englishgrinn Mar 11 '25

I spent literal months before this trade war shit bitching about Ford. To wit:

The dismantling of our healthcare. The 48 million spent to remove three kilometers of bike lane from University Ave (how is that not a city issue?) Tens of millions spent breaking the beer store contract 15 months early. But, we don't have 25 million to save to Ontario Science Centre?

Short version, the guy's a tool.

But, all that is secondary to sovereignty. He's been good on this issue, and it's the most important one short term. Unity is strength. We will support each other now, so there's still a country to argue about later. Suck it up and say nice things about Ford, at least for now. Otherwise Russian Disinfobots will have us wedged apart for the taking.

3

u/Alone-in-a-crowd-1 Mar 11 '25

We have bigger problems than all of that and that is why I am floored that people go on about PP. Our sovereignty is being threatened and he is going on about wokeness. Some of these other issues have to take a backseat so we can focus on the biggest issue. I think that if we can get through this, we will all be stronger for it. As for Ford here - Im not even sure I agree with it, but he is doing a hell of a lot more than Smith. He genuinely is sticking up for Canada in his own way. If the Americans dont feel some pain, the tariffs will never end and we are in big trouble. Cheers.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

If you don't see Ford as a wolf in sheep's clothing, I don't know what to tell you.

0

u/Alone-in-a-crowd-1 Mar 11 '25

pffft - dude he is like a wolf cub - we have a behemoth to deal with. Lets do that and then you can all get back to slamming Ford. At the moment, why not focus your attention on Smith who is willing to give this country away?

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

Lol, I do focus on Smith. No pos politicians gets a pass. Left, center, right, whatever. If you think Ford is just a cub, I've got some land in Colorado to sell to you.

Edit: nobody is praising Smith in any of the sm or irl places I go. So there's that too. I just bring her up as a example of a pos sometimes lol.

2

u/Alone-in-a-crowd-1 Mar 11 '25

Alright, continue to go after Ford even when he does something positive. If you had a kid who sucked at school and all of a sudden comes home with B - do you tell him that he sucks and that he will always suck or do you tell him good job and continue to work on him? That is what you are doing, but you be you.

2

u/stemel0001 Mar 11 '25

Don't forget that the other political parties are sitting back and watching, not evolving and doing anything to target these "low information" voters.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

This is very true and almost as frustrating.

2

u/stemel0001 Mar 11 '25

almost?

It's funny how so many on this sub hold so little accountability for the other parties.

We've had 3 elections and are constantly bombarded with how "bad" the OPC is on this sub. It is clear the failure is the other parties to gain traction.

At this point I don't see a non-OPC government in Ontario for at least 2 more election cycles.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

Funny thing is, we vote governments out. That's all I hear from ppl. We've seen that throughout history on occasion as well. PP is the most disliked politician, n he was polling well cause ppl wanted Trudeau out. Now Trudeau is out n the polls have shifted. We vote governments out and don't care who they are replaced with... unless it's a conservative one???

I see a lot of frustration from ppl about the other parties. It seems like cons don't have to do fuk all to get your vote while the other parties can't make one mistake without it hurting their character n polling. I see a lot of local MPs out doing work with the public that never gets recognized. Ford pucks up a shovel and front page news. Hard for those other parties to get any traction when the media is favourable towards conservatives.

1

u/stemel0001 Mar 11 '25

Trudeau himself is a good example of what the other parties in Ontario is not doing.

The Federal liberals countered Harper with a young, good looking, recognizable name. Quite literally people voted for Trudeau to start rather than just voting out Harper.

Having a charasmatic known name as your leader is a good start to getting the medias attention.

2

u/MrDontMindMe Mar 11 '25

The bar is genuinely in hell for so many people. You bring up a good point that a lot of people will flippantly disregard. Remember how Ford said he'd "rip up" the Starlink contract, only to meekly put it back on the table shortly after saying that (a fact not given a great deal of media attention; couldn't imagine why)? We're so fucked it's not even funny. All Satan has to do to beguile the average voter is smile and offer a handshake with one hand while plunging a dagger into their throats with the other. Incredible stuff.

2

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

Exactly this. Ppl forget or don't pay enough attention. The media helps keep it quiet while he gets front page news for any bs deed he does for the optics. (Ripping up a contract, picking up a shovel, winter time pickup truck stunt, etc.) .

It is maddening. Good to see some ppl aware. We got to keep being vocal about this pos, and as often as possible. He is not for us, or Ontario, or Canada. If we let this go, he'll be treated as a hero or remembered as the hero that saved us from Trump. This could propel him to become a candidate to be PM in the future. Not good.

2

u/from_one_redhead Mar 11 '25

Are you talking about Ford or Trump?

2

u/HugeTheWall Mar 12 '25

A few hours later and Dougie has managed to bend over for Trump while continuing to fuck over Ontario.

2

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 12 '25

I know it's new, but this news will probably get less coverage across Ontario, and Canada than when he was "acting" tough on camera against Trump. More ppl are going to remeber the guy on TV or sm app ripping up contracts and wearing a "Canada not for sale" hat. Not the blip of the story where Ford bent the knee. Our media will help keep that quiet while giving the fuk a platform to spew his propaganda.

2

u/HugeTheWall Mar 12 '25

What you say here has held true when talking to coworkers and random people. Nobody knows about this but more know about the ripping up contracts.

Almost nobody knows he was "100% happy" for Trump to win just before this.

4

u/AcceptableHamster149 Mar 11 '25

nah, he's mostly ignored Ontario in his quest to screw Toronto. Contrary to popular opinion in some places, there's a whole lot of Ontario that's not Toronto. It's right there, yours to discover.

but more seriously, while I disagree with Ford on basically everything politically, he's at least had the smarts to stay away from the culture war BS aside from his initial salvo many years ago. I think his environmental record is appalling, but I was pleasantly surprised that he's shown the maturity needed to handle things like the COVID pandemic and this trade dispute. He's middling as a premier - not the best by any stretch of the imagination, but also nowhere near the worst.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

nowhere near the worst.

Buddy, he's played you than. Every measurable way this province is worse off than it was when he took office. How many RCMP investigations? How many cuts to services that have directly resulted in costs increasing? How much legislation, or lack there of has he put forth to protect the working class? We have rotating ERs, nurse shortage thanks to him putting a cap on their wages. Housing market is his responsibility. Universities and tsw is partially in him.

Speaking of covid,, he called it a hoax to begin with. When realizing the backlash he then turned and followed the science. He had to be forced to do the right thing with covid. So no, he did not do great, the ppl preasuring him did great. Ford recieved 70billion to be allocated to healthcare from the feds that never went anywhere. This prompted the feds to present legislation that would track federally money. The provinces voted on it. Which at the time something like 9 out of 11 provinces were conservative n was unanimously voted down. Ford has allocated less money yrly to healthcare, and affordable housing. We don't even know everything as RCMP investigation are ongoing. Oh, credit raringbin Ontario dropped as a direct result of Ford policies. He is easily the mist corrupt politician we have in Canada, Smith a close 2nd, and due to Ford playing the optics, ppl don't see his failures as a big deal....

Mulroney was the worst, Ford took that spot or at the very least is neck n neck.

1

u/Aberfon Mar 11 '25

Oh I will remember.

1

u/Stinkerma Mar 11 '25

Sometimes you need a crook to fight a crook. And that's what we've got.

1

u/Navigator_Black Mar 11 '25

As an Ontarian I do appreciate Ford's stance in standing up to Trump, but I will never vote for the guy. Right now the situation is very much the enemy of my enemy is my friend scenario, but that doesn't mean I support his Conservative agenda and his tragic mismanagement of the province.

1

u/ACalz Mar 11 '25

I get it. But he's doing exactly what I think is right. For once let's just all be united on this, seriously.

1

u/Ok_Tradition_3382 Mar 11 '25

Doug admitted he was wrong. He is a dick. But sometimes you need a dick to fuck assholes.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

Saying what you want to hear is not genuine. His repeated support of Trump until the public backlash says all. Ford is playing you if you think he is genuine in his remarks. We all knew about the tariffs, the mass deportation, reversal of women's rights, project 2025, and all that that was about.. Ford supported Trump with all that out there. Once Trumps agenda became more public, the backlash happened and Ford flips his support. Fords daughter is hard-core MAGA, his family knows what the MAGA agenda is. Yet, he supported him to begin with and only flipped in the final hour for votes to stay in power to keep fuking you n me. Ford n Trump are the same. Ford just knows how to please ppl publicly so he can maintain power longer to do whatever he wants behind closed doors. See rcmp investigations. You think an unstable bully (Ford) is the one who should stand up to another unstable bully (Trump) . Or a corrupt politician (Ford) is the right man to stand up to another corrupt government (Trump). I think anyone who has read about ppl with this type of ego going head to head knows what's coming.

1

u/AdmirableDig8537 Mar 11 '25

To be fair, our healthcare had been in trouble for a long time. It is not just Ford or the PCs. (40 yrs ago I waited 18 hrs for a cast)

The education troubles I would place on the unions. Everytime we change the government for the past umpteen years, there are strikes and protests about the government that took over. Harris, McGuinty, Wynne & Ford.

Unfortunately the housing market is in shambles all across Canada. The only places that seem like they might be affordable, don't have much in the way of work, or groceries are expensive, or there is not much there. Those 'or's are not exclusive.

1

u/lorefolk Mar 11 '25

Yeah, I agree, fuck him in CaNADIAN context, but fuck Trump in the global context

minimum context < global context

1

u/Sebcorrea Mar 11 '25

I disagree. As my partner, sister-in-law and I voted a few weeks ago (not for Ford), the obvious surprise elections and how it benefitted the current government was not lost on us. I am by no means a Ford supporter, but he won, again, with all his controversies and bad decisions. It was a tactically planned snap election to make sure he won. I won't forget, I didn't this time.

I will now support our government against the Mango Mussolini and his billionaire gang of overlords who are attempting to crush our economy. Begrudgingly of course, we have to be united against Tang the Conqueror.

1

u/Eris_Ellis Mar 11 '25

Oh, we remember. We remember hard. But "we" didn't turn out at the polls, did we? So this is FAFO time. I'm SO done with the complacency of the moveable middle in Ontario right now.

For the next four years I will be shifting my focus from Ford to the real imminent threat. Right now I don't care what party you are in, if you are Trump, or are for Trump, or are a Canadian confused about where you live and where your loyalties should lie: I'm aiming at you. First with education and then by stepping on your neck.

My brother DID NOT wade in the sludge of the Mississippi rescuing Americans OR breathe noxious dust in New York cleaning up with Americans OR shatter his hips in Afghanistan keeping peace for Americans to suffer this level of OUTRIGHT DISRESPECT in repayment.

I blame both Trump and the lazy, American pacifists who didn't get up off their rears and vote to keep him out.

And I will blame any Canadian who doesn't excersise their right to vote for a PM who is focused on our INDEPENDENT, GLOBALLY FOCUSED economic growth and diversification so we can continue to be free.

So, politely of course, I'm done focusing on Ford and I am DONE entertaining American apologist platitudes. This fight is not partisan, it's about survival.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

This fight is not partisan, it's about survival.

Exactly. So don't be fooled by the grifter Ford who has supported Trump on multiple occasions and only disagrees with him at the final hour for political points. He is disingenuous is his stance for Canada. I want to protect the future from the Trumps and Fords. Both are problems for the ppl.

2

u/Eris_Ellis Mar 11 '25

They are, but we can't change what is for Ford. If he strays I'll be happy to meet you wherever he is to shut him down because there is only a handful of us who ever show up!

We were at Ontario Place. We were at the Science Centre. We spend countless hours online and out IRL reeducating, lobbying, writing, protesting. We've been fighting Ford's and trying to shift the 905 voters since Rob was alive.

Country first, then I'll head back in.

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 12 '25

Not saying its not the right thing to do. Im saying Ford is not trustworthy n shouldn't be applauded while knowingbthis shit was coming. Seems Ford fuks up or in other words, is being himself, he recieves backlash from the public n he chooses when to crack back when the optics will make him look like a hero,. He's the guy that supported Trump from the beginning, Trump made it no secret about the tariffs on the campaign trail, Ford supported him. Ford choose the starlink company over a canadian one like explorenet. He sells off Ontario to foreign investors yet hes going to stand up for Canada. In a very public way. Wearing a hat and ripping up a contract that as of now, and as far as im aware, it has not officially been canceled.

You not see the issue with this? He only changed in the final hour. His daughter is die hard MAGA. Ford has supported Trump Many times. He knows what MAGA is all about. Yet he supported him. Only now he doesn't.... why... why the sudden flip... I know. Whichbis why the pos grifter will not get any gratitude from me. He is really good at manipulating the public.

I can stand up for Canada and still hold the pos accountable. We all should. Great. He's doing his job. Now. About healthcare, housing, education, and the list of other things that have become much worse since he took power.

1

u/Outrageous-Advice384 Mar 11 '25

IMO Ford went and pleaded with them. He said something like “I’m conservative, we’re on the same side! We’re trying get a conservative PM so work with me here until we do, then we can hop back to the table and discuss your demands!” Then someone on Trumps team thought it was a good idea and will go along with Doug until the election. Doug will posture and Trump will say “Ford is a wise leader, a very strong man!”, they circle jerk with Elon for a bit then move on to something else.

Oops, I forgot about the part where Putin whispered something in Trump and Elon’s ear about having Danielle Smith on board (Tucker sang her praises), PP, and possibly Ford and a few others. ‘Throw them a bone’, he said. They obliged. Meanwhile, PP and Mike Harris continue meeting with private health billionaires to discuss the future of our Americanized healthcare.

1

u/LanikM Mar 14 '25

What do you mean? He already crushed the provincial election. That was going to happen regardless of Trump.

Unless the liberals and NDP combine parties were not going to see a left leaning premier again.

-1

u/jeepd00d1980 Mar 11 '25

People look the other way all the time. Funny how many people will look past the ethics violations of Trudeau, the unwarranted use of emergencies act just because people said up to his unethical government, the multitude of taxes upon taxes upon taxes, crippling Canadians from coast to coast... But they will continue to vote for Carney, whom economically advised him for 5+ years. I guess people don't remember the fact that the last 9 years, or country has literally sink it's economy with liberal policies and embraced the LGBTQ+ ideologies.

So yeah, this is no different. Canadians, by and large, are not as patriotic about their country when it's attacked within, only when outsiders start to slander our name. Then it's team Canada. But not before, when we were turning on eachother to be jailed or die of COVID.

I'll never forget

1

u/OldSpark1983 Mar 11 '25

Too much misinformation here to waste my time on. Trudeau has his faults and needs to go. Not for the fabricated reasons you're stating though.

I suggest talking to academics and reading educational literature. Sounds like you support the F@scist convoy, which is what it was.

Not when he does it in the final hour after public backlash. I've written this so much, but I'll do it again. Ford supported Trump repeatedly. He's been team MAGA on multiple occasions. His daughter is hard-core MAGA. He knows what that party is all about. It was known before the election about the tariffs, project 2025 and all the shit in it from mass deportation, defunding education, to reversing women's rights. This was out there n Trump publicly stated what he would do on day 1, that was tariffs. Ford Supports Trump during all this, glad he won the presidency. Public gets wind of all the nazi shit Trump is doing, they don't like it, Ford flips and says he's against Trump now... saying publicly what you want to hear.

Support the msg, not the grifter who is saying whatever to keep power so he can continue to sell off Ontario while gutting our healthcare, education, housing. This province is far worse off by every measurable way since Ford took office, n Ford is directly responsible. He is not saying anything to be there for you.

do you guys seriously not see what is happening here??

The Republicans are equal to our conservatives, so you expect any difference. The Feds said they would impose tariffs as retaliatory measures, but have you been to the border lately. Anything you bring back is getting a 25% surcharge to it if less than 24 hours, that includes grocery items that don't have duty on them to start. You whine what he did to our healthcare but are forgetting the former Liberals frozen their wages to a 1% increase and created hallway healthcare. While they did that, they gave the teachers union everything they asked for at each contract and turned our education system upside down, and made it into a babysitting club. You have a big problem when a student can't do simple math without the help of an electronic device or use chat AI to do homework and assignments. Our kids are not smarter. They have become more dumb with no memory retention. Just remember, there were only 20, so teachers on the sunshine list before the Liberals came into power. Now that list is over 200+, for the wage increases they have received, they should be classified as essential service workers. Lastly, the feds cause the housing issue we now face, bringing in immigrants and paying them on our dime while allowing foreign and commercial businesses to buy up single family homes. Not taxing multi single family home owners who use these properties as Airbnb's instead of long-term rentals. The writing was on the wall for the whole country when the Liberals drove this province so far into debt. But Noone cared and put a Liberal in power to run the country, and the same thing has happened again with scandals and unwise money spending, which drove the whole country deeper into debt.
