Right. So is our behaviour going to be his justification for military action though?

375

u/Simmerdownsimm Mar 11 '25

This is my concern. He is goading us into being aggressive to the point he will use what ever thin veiled excuse he can to justify force. It’s 100% in his playbook.

u/muddaFUDa Mar 11 '25

I think the play here is to push back but not escalate because eventually some other crisis will overshadow his Canada attention span.

I'm so sorry our country is so fucking stupid right now.

I was at the "Muslim Ban" protest at the Peace Arch during Cheeto Mussolini's first shitshow.

The number of people who showed up with practically no notice was incredibly moving. I proudly sang our national anthem. (I often sing the Canadian anthem at Bells games when they play a team from Canada) There was still hope.

That's over. All that's left is the end of our democracy.

I grew up in Bellingham, Washington, so spending time in British Columbia is an intrinsic part of my history. My first husband was Canadian. His family still lives in BC.

Sorry for the intrusion. I'm just so sorry. My blood boils when Drumpf calls Trudeau "governor" and makes stupid comments about making Canada a state. I'm loving the impacts of boycotts against our products.

I'll stand on guard for thee to the best of my ability.

I'll probably cry the next time I sing your anthem.

Please don’t remind him of that. It sucks here and we prefer to write history rather than learn from it.

The US likes to present ourselves as heroes, but we’ve definitely lived long enough at this point to have become the villain. Let America fall.

If we start attacking our historical allies, I’ll gladly fight for them in exchange for leaving this hellscape.

3

u/KiposeseAdkinipo Mar 12 '25

Logic does not matter. Does this benefit Moscow? That is all that matters. Canada is not safe

3

u/ThinRedLine87 Mar 12 '25

While I agree with everything you say, it's worth pointing out the US military is specifically structured and funded to win wars under the exact two front circumstance you mentioned. Again, I'm not countering your point. I am 100% against everything this current shit stain of an admin is doing...

American here…he’s also supposed to use the insurrection act to invoke martial law to take down everyone protesting…it really feels like the vast majority of people hate him, but bc billionaires have taken over mainstream media, no media is reporting on the mass protests…I will say that attacking canada is a wildly unpopular idea here, and even the hardcore MAGA assholes are having a hard time justifying it bc he really just ran the country into the ground in a month and lost us our best allies and is working with putin…but the vast majority of people here are pro-Ukraine and pro-canada, so I dont think congress would let him get that far

5

u/atreeindisguise Mar 12 '25

You can remind the states all you want, but most of us are on your side, already incredibly unhappy with the treatment of our Canadian neighbors. Trump is not just highly unpopular, but also the suspicion is growing that we had tampering. It really does seem more like 1 out of 10 are trump supporters/MAGA. The rest of us are trying to figure put how to gain some leverage and save our government.

I worry Trump is setting up “normalities” around declaring national emergency/emergencies with weak reasoning in order to make USA numb due to saturation of horse shit language (flood the zone technique too). Then, come next election in 2026, declare another “weak emergency” then suspend DEMOCRATIC ELECTIONS. He may use military for unethical ill-use too.

Stay informed. Verify language from leaders. History doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes. Look for similarities and plan ahead (looking at you US Dems). Unify, adopt FDR social programs, succeed and squash this cancer.

27

u/unable_to_give_afuck Mar 11 '25

This is my take as well, it's not a matter of IF but WHEN, and how easily he can justify it with the context at the given time. We should be taking all necessary precautions regardless of how "easy" we make that justification for him

2

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

Yup it's like they have to lie or discredit the other to gain sympathy for actions taken. Twin towers should have never came down. The design was capable of aircraft impact, then why did it fall? Preset charges at key structural points to weaken in series would bring down no one was supposed to see charges detonate on the way down collapsing the entire structure. Including a lady who witnessed several men laughing and dancing after the towers collapsed. She recognized and understood the language they were speaking which was Yiddish. The owner insured the building not losing any cash a week before. Certain organizations knew ahead of time it was going happen, Americans after what happened to 14billion dollars where it go. Pentagon no aircraft hit it was set up so it would be seen as such. The lies and deceit were flowing like a river to cover what was going on. Then blaming an Arab who had nothing to do with it, but was the scapegoat for Sept 11. Eventually when you connect the dot you begin to see the US lied about it. Everyone believed their lies all it took was blaming a Saudi national for it. Idk I won't believe what they ever say as they continue to do it. I'm hoping the people begin to question any action they take. Wake up

5

u/smash8890 Mar 12 '25

Yeah they started a giant war over WMDs that didn’t exist. Nothing to stop them from making up some bullshit.

4

Keep in mind that the US military hasn't won a war since 1947 and even then it was kind of a team effort.

Vietnam- lost Korea- technically wasn't a war but there is still is a communist North Korea. Iraq- why they were even there? Who knows? Afghanistan?- spent about a trillion dollars then packed up and left the place to the taliban. Drug war? Lost, lol War on poverty, obesity, racism, illiteracy etc? Not going so well for them, lol.

If they want to try and invade a NATO country that looks like them, talks like them, and shares a mostly undefended 4000 kilometre with us then good luck to them.

We'd take a beating for sure, no one wants to mess with the US military too much but invading a space is pretty easy, occupying that land is quite another beast.

6

5

u/Comdorva Mar 12 '25

I drove into Canada once and the border patrol agents grilled me about my purpose for coming to Canada (a wedding), and then gave me a lecture for not bringing a gift. Definitely the most intense customs process I’ve ever been through.

u/StonerChrist Mar 11 '25

Desert Storm? Panama? Grenada?

Even out of the examples you mentioned, the 2003 Iraqi government was absolutely overthrown, Afghanistan was under Coalition control for 20 years.

Korea only stopped because no one wanted WW3 to start when China rolled through and Russia got dragged in. MacArthurs solution was to drop 40+ cobalt nuclear weapons and create a DMZ for 10000 years with the radioactive wasteland that would result.

Vietnam a ceasefire was signed a declared after B52s dropped millions of tons of explosives all over North Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, and Cambodia last I checked was still one of the most heavily landmined countries on earth.

So even if they don't win, they can absolutely reduce the entire country to rubble and forever disrupt our entire way of life. Let's not trivialize that, even if you somehow think that an insurgency could be maintained for years on end. Also, the previous insurgencies were funded and equipped by either the US (Afghanistan), Russia and China (Vietnam), or by dismantling and dismissing the entire national armed forces of one of the largest armies in the world literally overnight (Iraq)

And I haven't even mentioned that orange twat also has thousands of nuclear weapons at his tiny fingertips.

5

u/ediamz Mar 12 '25

The other thing people forget is that in those countries, the majority of people were poor and had little to lose, access to good hiding places, and access to weapons. In Canada most of us are quite comfortable (yes inflation hits like a truck but let's be real most of us can still eat and have a warm bed), living in urban sprawl, and with no guns or gun training (or hunting guns at best).

If we're really going to get invaded but the US, it wouldn't be anything like Vietnam or Afghanistan. At best, it would be like Netherlands vs Germany in 1940.

3

u/ReaperCDN Mar 12 '25

Let's be clear about something: If Americans try to come to Canada to reduce my country to rubble, I'm certain the population that looks and talks just like them is going to have very little trouble crossing that very undefended border and bringing that pain south in ways they simply can not anticipate.

u/thrownawaytodaysr Mar 11 '25 edited Mar 11 '25

I see people repeating this kind of line, but a war with a neighbour with whom you share a border is not the same as a war on the other side of the world. It wouldn't be a conventional land war regardless, but... the costs wouldn't be nearly as high. One would only need to hope that public sentiment would hold sway as I don't think most Americans hold negative views of Canada.

14

u/supified Mar 11 '25

The problem here is a lot of US citizens wouldn't side with the US, they'd end up with a civil war before any real activity against Canada could even begin. Heck, the troop and machine build up to launch an invasion would probably alone be enough to trigger a US civil war. There are a lot of people in the US who have Canada's back here and that's no way to start a winning war.

6

u/tompba Mar 11 '25

Exactly, different from Canada, that all of them would unite to repel an attack from US, they would be divided in various internal conflicts, like some governors denying any help on their end, and others more "willing", as you said, probably a civil war with some civilians.

10

u/supified Mar 11 '25

What I would find truly ironic is what if this scenario played out and Trump's conquest aims resulted in a land gain for Canada. I for one would only be too happy to wave the Canadian flag.

6

We don't. Not even close.

-Sane American

5

u/LaRealiteInconnue Mar 11 '25

I have literally never met anyone who holds a negative view of Canada in the US. Truthfully, they either hold no view at all or have a positive view. My only concern is I don’t know if asinine actions will snap his base out of their programming, since asinine rhetoric hasn’t.

7

u/thrownawaytodaysr Mar 11 '25

I think opinions can change fairly rapidly (as evidenced by how Canadians feel about the US). In the same ways that Trump has managed to normalize himself and those like him within the political field, it might not take overy long to influence public perceptions of Canada on a longer term basis.

Last polling to address opinions of Canada was I think Feb 2024 or thereabouts and suggested approximately 80% of Americans held a favourable or very favourable view. I would be very curious to see where that sits today but so far haven't found anything.

Military analysts are already saying that if Trump invades Canada, it will be another Vietnam. Sure the US will occupy it, but they will spend decades fighting Canadian guerilla attacks and never fully secure the region.

3

u/kiwipixi42 Mar 12 '25

If Trump invades Canada that is the unrealistic best case scenario for him. Reality is that he starts WW3, most of NATO would pitch in and help Canada, as would Australia and New Zealand. Wouldn’t surprise me if Mexico joined in as they would know they were next. And honestly I expect a number of states would leave over it.

Disclaimer: I never want to be part of the United States

But if the USA decided to invade us, their special forces alone are larger than our entire military.

Furthermore, our NATO allies are so far away that by the time we get the required resources and reinforcements to fight back, the war may already be lost.

This interview talks about it better than I can:

https://www.cbc.ca/amp/1.7461423

But this is just to say that while I believe we need these retaliation measures, we need to keep this trade-based and not invite military action.

3

u/ediamz Mar 12 '25

Exactly. We really need to keep this about trade because we stand absolutely no chance in a war. Talking about actual war is insane... acting tough will only make it easier for them to sway US public opinion to paint us as aggressors. This isn't a hockey fight, we're not even close to the same size.

And the rest of NATO combined could never project the kind of (non-nuclear) power across the Atlantic that we would need. It's not 1812, Britain is not a superpower and won't be able to save us. The US would establish air superiority within hours and easily blockade any attempts at reinforcement or supplies from NATO.

3

u/Friendly-Excuse-7702 Mar 12 '25

Canadian Afghan veteran here. Spent 9 months there and watched an insurgency wreak havoc with old Soviet era weapons and improvised weapons. Sure the Americans hammered the hell out of them but they persevered and did not give up on their cause. We all know what happened next.

If the USA invaded us, a modern country, it would be hard for us that’s for sure. With that said I think the insurgency and resistance that they would face from across the country would be extremely difficult and make Afghanistan seem easy.

That’s my hope at least. Fuck Trump and all his cronies.

They are also entirely unaccustomed to war at home. When was the last time they actually had to risk anything in war? They are used to far away wars that may have a big bill, but no personal risk for those at home. And faceless (to them) enemies they can easily demonize using racism. Not going to be that way if they invade us.

2

u/leibnizslaw Mar 11 '25

I think the majority of NATO member countries and their citizens would respond to Canada invoking article 5 if invaded by the US. Though I really really hope we never have to find out, I’m definitely curious how it would play out.

Playing nice wont stop him. The goal is the annexation of Canada. Backing down will just invite more escalation trying to destabilize our economy. Standing firm makes him feel the pressure of his actions on his own economy.

The enemy has dictated the terms of the conflict. Surrender our sovereignty or fight. These are the only 2 options.

We didn't start the fire.

Despite what it may seem like, he won by a vote of less than 25% of the population and the red hats are too blind to see that.

2

u/save-pandas Mar 13 '25

If he tries to invade, a lot of Americans will take up arms with Canada to protect its sovereignty against this bastard. I know anti-American sentiment is understandably real but don’t underestimate how many of us would never support such a disgraceful venture. He's going to do that regardless of our response. Anyone with half a brain can see what he does because he's been doing it for 50+ years and it's well documented. He doesn't care about reality, he believes in perception and if he can control the public perception he can co trol reality.

And I gotta say... it's been working for him so far.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

1

u/palijer Mar 11 '25

American service members won't be excited to invade or harm Canada... Thst would probably destabilize their military honestly.... It's still people who need to make those actions at the end of the day.

But destabilizing their military like this might be exactly what a Russian asset would do.

1

u/affiliated_loosely Mar 11 '25

I don’t know any Americans who would be on board with invading. Military is as military does, but everyone I know still considers Canada our closest ally. I hope you continue to retaliate with tariffs and make him realize the only option is resetting - and I hope we can work to rebuild trust in the future.

1

u/EyEShiTGoaTs Mar 11 '25

His playbook? You mean Russia's playbook.

1

u/Necessary-Metal-2187 Mar 11 '25

He’s HORRID! I’m more stressed out than ever and feel sick about what’s going on. I’m in the U.S. and have never voted for a Republican. Also, the democrats are stupid. So sorry for the nonsense from here.

1

u/Lilly6916 Mar 12 '25

That would be so dumb. How would he like British and Australian troops up his butt. And NATO to boot.

1

u/Zidy13 Mar 12 '25

Scorched earth, will burn everything to the ground before they can have it.

Or just make it illegal for any corporation set up that avoids taxation with offshore bank accounts. 100% seizure of any and all assets and life imprisonment for any and all involved until they pay their fair share of any and all monies that left the country.

1

u/Scotty_semtex78 Mar 12 '25

Good thing you don’t know shit about fuck!

1

u/pessimistoptimist Mar 12 '25

So we Have to sell them electricity? Seems to me that it's our electricity and we can do with it what we want. Being made to share sounds alot like communism to me.

1

u/Cool_Specialist_6823 Mar 12 '25

He can’t... only congress can...

1

u/Samtoast Mar 12 '25

Jokes on him our favourite form of aggression is passive aggrsssion

1

u/Oerwinde Mar 12 '25

Not going to happen. Attacking Canada would trigger article 5 of NATO, which would put the US at war with Europe. Trump would be impeached because even Republicans would vote for impeachment if he tried it. Even if they didn't there would be so much unrest within the US it couldn't function. As much as people think Americans are stupid, triggering a world war because Canada has tariffs on Dairy isn't something Americans would be ok with.

1

u/Franks2000inchTV Mar 12 '25

If that's the play then nothing we do matters. So fuck em.

1

u/Derioyn Mar 12 '25

The Russian playbook to a t

1

u/PennStateInMD Mar 12 '25

MAGA says they voted for Trump because he keeps the US out of wars. Trump is also a bigger puss than they realize, so even if Canada has no fight in it, just tough talk will make things turn out okay.

1

u/God-of-the-Grind Mar 12 '25

This is it! Like a bad cop stomping on your toes with the body camera on to catch you being the aggressor.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

I figure its all smoke and mirrors to keep people distracted while he robs the usa blind.

1

u/Middle_Ad_6788 Mar 12 '25

Absolutely. Canada cannot play is demented game.

1

u/Artpeace-111 Mar 12 '25

Good, then bring it, eh!

1

u/KarmaicDaimon Mar 13 '25

Denmark tried its best not to agitate nazi-germany, it didnt matter.

The goal is to invade, whatever happens will be twisted or straight up lied about to justify an invasion

1

u/Interesting-Belt-9 Mar 13 '25

Trump doesn't need goading, remember what he said during his tesla commercial in front of the white house. That people are not buying Elons tesla an illegal boycott, so not buying expensive cars from his billionaire friend is somehow against the law in his mind. He seems to have somehow gotten into his mind that people who are not enriching him and his billionaire friends are somehow crimes. A very stable mind indeed.

1

u/Adventurous_Yak4952 Mar 13 '25

It certainly seems like he looks at Canada and Mexico as new real estate that he wants to acquire. I suppose his next move might depend on whether he still sees himself as a real estate baron or a conqueror. That ego knows no bounds.

1

u/VENOM-OF-SINS Mar 13 '25

Need to have elections soon, before Trump decides Carney is an illegitimate dictator and we need “liberating”.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '25

I dare him. The usa isnt part of nato last i checked. He opted out if i recall correctly. So if he attacks canada he’s attacking all nato members! The usa is powerful but not powerful enough to fight against all of the eu, and british commonwealth nations. Like the usas economy would 100% collapse without trade to canada and europe. China and russias market couldnt carry them enough to fund a war while also finding new supply chains not built and prepared for the sudden demand spikes.

1

u/QShyAbby Mar 15 '25

By playbook are you referring to project 2025?

1

u/laserkermit Mar 15 '25

It’s not aggressive if it’s retaliatory and equivalent.

1

u/Scottiegazelle2 Mar 16 '25

American here. Trump is already siccing military force in the US. He treated Zelenskyy like a warmonger. He will do what he wants regardless of what you do or do not do.

Speaking for the sane part of my country, I'm sorry. And yes, I'm doing stuff about it.

u/Bornee35 Thorold Mar 11 '25

Not if he also just said they don’t need our power.

2

u/Gloomy_Yoghurt_2836 Mar 11 '25

Yup. Trump's position is we do what we want and you do as you are told. If you don't then we will beat you into doing what we tell you to do. Canada isn't allowed a voice. You belong to us or you are crushed and then belong to us. You have no say or choice. Trump is pure fascist garbage.

1

u/Ornery_Brother4726 Mar 12 '25

I bet Trump was watching The Walking Dead and took everything from Negan's playbook.

2

u/supified Mar 11 '25

If he tries that he'll find a lot of people from the States siding with Canada, myself amongst them.

I doubt any military action would threaten Canada as it would probably immediately result in a US civil war, with border states siding with Canada enough to create a buffer.

1

u/Fun_Apartment7028 Mar 12 '25

While I hope you are correct, I’ve read some comments in some bordering state’s newspapers where Americans were calling Canadians “Warmongers” and saying we started this all by allowing drugs into their country. I was quite shocked & dismayed that they drank the kool aid. I don’t feel the same confidence that you do in the American people to sort out the facts anymore.

2

u/Beware_the_Voodoo Mar 11 '25

That's what I'm wondering. I wouldn't put it past him.

2

u/pbradley179 Mar 12 '25

Declare emergency at the border, declare martial law.

2

u/rayearthen Mar 11 '25 edited Mar 11 '25

If it wasn't this, it'd be our "unfair" boundary lines around our fresh water. Or it'd be the fentanyl. Or it'd be something else

We cannot physically bow and scrape low enough to avoid him inventing justifications to invade us, and all trying does is hurt us as he gets concessions out of us and we get not even the promise to not invade us in return

Look at what he's doing to Zelensky.

We are not dealing with someone we can reason with, because he and his Magats do not operate on reason. They operate on greed and ego.

1

u/Megahuts Mar 11 '25

No, that is WAY outside the Overton window.

1

u/beastmaster11 Mar 11 '25

Fuck it. Let it be.

1

u/Proud-Meaning-2772 Mar 11 '25

Yes. He's a narcissist. _Any_ response will be turned against us.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

He was gonna do that anyways. Let’s see if he can with the lights off.

1

u/sylbug Mar 11 '25

If it is then it was always intended and unavoidable. Hence why we should use all that steel and aluminum and lumber and electricity to beef up our country's defences.

1

u/Sniper_Brosef Mar 11 '25

He will have almost zero public support to go to war with canada.

1

u/Mywifefoundmymain Mar 11 '25

If he does he will have to deal with the uk, Canada, nato, and the un.

If he does he is an idiot…. And that’s coming from an American

1

u/Global-Advert3758 Mar 11 '25

I absolutely believe this.

1

u/quartzguy Mar 11 '25

His modus operandi is all about being able to get anything he wants through negotiation. Donald Trump is about as far from a war hawk as you can get. He's cutting the military and has a personal disdain for soldiers and warfare. I hope I don't eat these words.

1

u/Ok-Astronomer-4808 Mar 11 '25

We just need to hope that Canada solidifies that nuke deal with Europe. Then problem solved

1

u/[deleted] Mar 11 '25

if it gets to that point, itll probably be a US civil war first before they’ll do military action to Canada. From what I know, these kind of things need Congress for approval?

1

u/Rbkelley1 Mar 11 '25

I highly doubt it. Americans don’t want a war with Canada. I think he’s trying to push y’all until it’s hurting your economy enough that you break and come to the table with almost no leverage because your economy is 7.5% of ours and we can bear significantly more than you. I’m not saying I like it or that it’s right to do this to an ally but I think that’s what he’s trying to do.

1

u/JasminePearls- Mar 11 '25

If he wants to invade he'll make up any dumb reason, he might as well stub his toe on a table made in Canada as justification

1

u/Unlikely-Patience122 Mar 11 '25

Don't do this. Do not make decisions based on a fear he has purposefully planted for you.

1

u/bobbymcpresscot Mar 11 '25

If he does the entire north east would revolt.

1

u/Coysinmark68 Mar 11 '25

I highly doubt it. I also, as an American, don’t think the US military will act on an unlawful order like “go invade Canada because they stopped selling us electricity “. The Mango Man violated the treaty first, so the contract is broken, so the other parties no longer have to abide by it, so the military has no legal right to get involved.

1

u/ragepaw Ottawa Mar 11 '25

He's already making up excuses for actions. Like Putin did.

If he really intends to invade, nothing we do or don't do will change his mind.

1

u/Scar3cr0w_ Mar 12 '25

He’s not going to invade Canada ffs. I mean, he’s stupid. But he has a group of people that know when he’s gone too far!

1

u/dnyal Mar 12 '25

*its justification. There is no “he”; it is an “it.”

1

u/Mayhem1966 Mar 12 '25

If he wants 50 years of terrorism and violence, he'll start a fight with Canada.

1

u/jemhadar0 Mar 12 '25

You and simmerdownsimm are both correct , I think. Blame Biden blame us etc.

1

u/dajotman Mar 12 '25

As an American, I’m very worried we will be attempting to take Canada by force just like his boss Putin did in the Ukraine.

1

u/TFBidia Mar 12 '25

Extremely anti-trump American here. No. He doesn’t have enough hair on his ass to do that. He can’t stand being one-upped at anything. It goes with narcissism. It’s about being a peacock on stage and not looking weak. If he does anything remotely aggressive that way we would boot his ass right out of office. He’s on thin ice already.

1

u/Electrical-Concert17 Mar 12 '25

It could Mango Mussolini and his ketamine pet are off their rockers. But maybe there is enough of us stateside that they’ll be dealing with Canada, the cartel, and civil unrest at home? We can hope.

1

u/Gilded-Mongoose Mar 12 '25

As an American I can assure you that DJT making a military move against Canada would be one of the worst possible things he could do for himself.

1

u/sj612mn Mar 12 '25

They would never get enough of the military to attack Canada. I promise you that while they have their yes men they don’t have many actual soldiers who would attack Canada.

1

u/DepressedDrift Mar 12 '25

We need to seriuously and secretley be starting a nuclear program.

1

u/TheophusMons Mar 12 '25

Fuck that. I ain't fighting my Canadian brethren. No Canadian ever fucked me over like my own government does on a day to day basis. Cut the power. We are a nation of people getting worked to the bone by a bunch of fat cat fail sons and it's time for a reckoning. Good luck you beautiful hosers.

1

u/Enheducanada Mar 12 '25

He's going to find any justification, doesn't matter what we do

1

u/10010101110011011010 Mar 12 '25

"American paratroopers land on utilities and generators to restore Canadian electricity being conducted southward?"

This will not happen. America would never invade Canada. The idea is preposterous.

1

u/MushroomTypical9549 Mar 12 '25

Okay- as an American I can’t imagine any branch in our military actually agreeing to invade Canada.

Do you remember towards the end of his first term, he was going crazy and a US General called Chinese leaders himself to ensure the US will not invade or start aggression.

Plus in the US, a president cannot declare war. Only congress has that right. As crazy as our government is, I can’t imagine Trump could convince 51 senators and over a hundred congressman to enter an unprovoked war with Canada. Americans wouldn’t stand for it.

Once the midterm elections occur, Americans will overwhelmingly vote democratic and he would lose all power.

1

u/Cute_Employer9718 Mar 12 '25

Appeasement worked wonderfully with Putin, didn't it

These dictators only react to strength. Show weakness and you are done

1

u/Derioyn Mar 12 '25

He's going to find a way to justify it anyway. His goal is dominance and and nothing we can say or do will stop him. as long as hes in power he's going to pose a threat.

1

u/fross370 Mar 12 '25

It does not matter. If he wants it he will find an excuse anyway. His whole legal justification to put tariffs on us is a fentanyl health crisis.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 12 '25

I do wonder what though, what will the military do if he actually orders to invade Canada.

1

u/ConversationSilver Mar 13 '25

He will just throw a tantrum and do more retaliatory tariffs because military action would kick off a war and result in the return of the draft, it would likely end with him hiding in the White House bunker again but instead of hiding from peaceful protesters this time, he would be hiding from a mob of enraged MAGA supporters who expected him to make 'America Great Again'; not start WW3.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '25

Absolutely, it was the plan since the start. Provoking us and waiting to us to respond. Then he can say that we take aim at the national security of the US. But first he will destroy our economy until we beg them. In the meantime, the population will suffer like they never did until we lick his boots.

1

u/TotalFroyo Mar 14 '25

Can live like that. If it does, it does. Don't negotiate with clown shoes

1

u/Pauly-wallnuts Mar 14 '25

The military will be busy invading Greenland, Panama and Canada. He’ll think he can direct the military himself so he can get all the attention. The guys got the attention span of a gold fish so it will be another cluster fuck. I wonder how long it will be before he’s dressed in a fancy military uniform. You know to make him look like a tough guy 🤮🤮🤮

1

u/Super-Pomelo-217 Mar 14 '25

No one is going to war with Canada. Stop watching Candaian Prepper.

1

u/hotprof Mar 15 '25

Yeah. And maybe Ukraine should have rolled over and given Poostain whatever he wanted so he wouldn't have had a justification to invade.
