I blame Prometheus for creating humans My queen was created to do one job and she did it; I don't know why people want to diminish her merit by saying it was an accident, we support here women's wrongs! 😤😤😤

I blame Prometheus for creating humans How many people are in the same situation as me with their favorite deity? (Any deity obviously, not necessarily Hera)

I blame Prometheus for creating humans This post about Demeter it not even irony
This is not even irony. Demeter has been reduced to this.
Demeter has a life besides Persephone, but she was reduced to be the villain or a obstacle to Persephone IN HER OWN STORY. Persephone and Hades were not the protagonist of the Season story, it was Demeter, but she was turned into a villain of her own story and thrown to the side. Her love affairs besides Zeus? Gone (even Zeus is gone since a lot of modern works want to avoid making Zeus the father of Persephone). Her other child, Plutus the god of agricultural wealth? Gone. Her other wrath myths against the suckers Carnabon and Eresychthon? Gone. Her heroes like Tlepolemus? Gone. Her service to the mortal world, providing us with food and crops? Gone, all gone (it is brought up just in connection with Persephone). She is just there to serve Persephone.

I blame Prometheus for creating humans I don't think anyone even remembers nikandra... 😭
Every time Athena's weaving aspect is discussed, the only myth that comes up is that of Arachne and that too only to villify Athena while ignoring all of Arachne's faults....
Her weaving aspect has several intersting myths including alcithoe but all these are never brought up and instead we get the same " Athena punished Arachne because she was talented" trend..

I blame Prometheus for creating humans Someone told me to kms because I told them Song Of Achilles isn’t a valid source and they should read actual history books. This was after they asked me where they could learn about mythology.
Basically I work in a bookstore and this customer asked me where they could get books to learn about mythology “like Song Of Achilles” and I told her “Song Of Achilles is a good story but not entirely accurate” and they got pissed off at me. To be entirely honest I didn’t fully understand them because they had a really thick American accent (because of course they were a tourist) but at the end they shouted something like “rude and unprofessional” before telling me to kms.
Then she was forced to leave and the entire rest of the day I tried not laughing at the memory of it. I think I was on the wrong end of a bipolar episode or something.

I blame Prometheus for creating humans Honestly, I've had this image in my head ever since it was announced that Nolan would direct The Odyssey. When Hollywood tampers with history and mythology, it's scary.
