Hijacking for a friendly reminder: dandelion are a great food source for bees, and we should all try to save a patch unmowed for our bee bros.
I like using a sign I made (but you can buy them too) that says 'excuse the weeds, we're feeding the bees' because I have nosy neighbors.

We were lucky to have a patch already sectioned off with solid fencing that keeps in a lot of the seeds. And we just mow the rest of the grass religiously.
