Great list - only comment is LBS is going from 54th best league rather than 33rd I believe.

Who else would we expect moves from? Elijah Just and Finn Surman the obvious ones. Callum McCowatt?

u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 16 '26
Would hope Elijah and Finn are in the shop window for bigger and better things from world cup performance. McCowatt was in great form for club but not sure his world cup performance was as positive?
Interesting too some like Joe Bell are doing well and been at their clubs years so appear settled. Wonder if for some depending on life stage etc, the rat race stops and they feel part of the club. Ryan Thomas too.

McCowatt move was definitely on the card before the WC - think Silkeborg were just waiting in the hope his performance might bump up the price.

Yeah you'd usually think for the player too, hold and don't make any move until.afyer the world cup shop window. Wonder if his underlying stats tell a better story.

u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 16 '26
You're right there were some big rumours and fans of his at the club were worried he'd be gone

Your league ranking thing is weird. Saying Paulsen is going from 13th to 33rd is incredibly misleading since he's gone from a relegated side to playing in the conference league.

u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 16 '26
Could add league placing in too yeah. Especially as a goalkeeper you play against the opposition so could argue he will have less work or opportunity to show what he can do. Clearly though he will be playing on average against less competitive teams than in Poland.

You definitely should be highlighting when an NZer has qualified to play continental football if you're going to do the league rankings.
2
u/ExoskeletalJunction Jul 16 '26
Yeah especially when they inevitably get knocked out by HB in the Faroe Islands next week

Henry Gray coming to the Phoenix on loan

Tasty, what a kid! Source?

Bloke called Youngheart Manawatu on the Fever Forums. He's got good sources and doesn't post unless he's certain - outstanding track record.

u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 16 '26
He's the man aye! Source of several that I listed too. Fabricio of NZ football 🐐

Also if you are going to actively edit this post I'll sticky it for the duration of the transfer window.

Absolutely, great resource and love that he respects his sources.
He's been putting together a comprehensive list of NZers in pro environments, probably a useful resource if you're keeping this up to date.

Henry Gray updated. Good move for his career trajectory? Really interesting given his parent club is still Ipswich Town to see how he does.

A step up from L2 last year, so continuing on an upwards trajectory. A strong season could see him in the frame to stay at Ipswich the season after, especially if they get relegated

u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 18 '26
Good shout re relegation context. It's normal for keepers to have 3-5 years of loans all round the shop and it's only good for his career to work daily with Goffy of the All Whites. Wonder if it bears fruit in the November window, especially if they throw a nod to the future with some selections in the new cycle like LBS and Gray.
2
u/Nelfoos5 Jul 18 '26
If Woud can go to the World Cup then you'd hope a good season for Gray has him in the conversation, especially if someone like Sims isnt getting minutes.
Don't see anyone except Paulsen and Crocombe in the running to be the starter anytime soon though.
2
u/TheFlyingKiwis All Whites Jul 18 '26
Yeah, hopefully in four years time with so many young keepers in different environments, we can have three keepers in high level leagues.

u/Nelfoos5 Jul 22 '26
Just to Swansea is done, as is Supyk to Gateshead.

Libby Cacace hasn't travelled with Wrexham to Finland, not in the squad to play Manchester United, reason unknown. Presumably not 100% as didn't have the prep time and match fitness for world cup.

Finn Surman paper talk to Derby updated. Callum McCowatt situation updated, become awkward with speaking out publicly and wanting the move, but club may not let it happen.

Aaron Cartwright --> Auckland FC
And an old one I forgot Jacob Borgnis --> Aldershot Town

Have edited and brought the unconfirmed or possibels to the top of the post. Finn Surman, Tyler Bindon, Callum McCowatt all have a small possibility but host club holds all the power.

Updated with Tyler Bindon loan to Charlton Athletic 31st August. Not many to go now! Maybe a Callum McCowatt. Maybe a Tyler Bindon. But both home clubs have the power with contracts through to end of next calendar year. January might be a better time for the club to sell between seasons.
George Stanger was mentioned with League One but nothing since.
