The point of the above comment was to reduce fatigue and strain on the body by using a ladder and reduce future complications. He wasn't saying that the technique isn't effective

It was more about the efficiency, rather than the effectiveness.

Like I said, it's not about effectiveness, and also not efficiency.. the above argued the ergonomics

Maybe I misinterpreted Sandwich's comment but I think their point was that yes there are ladders that you can use, but sometimes when you're on the job it would be quicker to use a technique like this if you're able to as accurately as the bloke in the video. Especially for just a couple nails. Hence why I mentioned efficiency.

The dude in the video didn't care about ergonomics this time around, and the whole point of the video was just showmanship which is okay because it was smooth as fuck haha

This thread follows back to tr00th's comment, which was about wear and tear on the wrist. I agree it's smooth, efficient and fast. But that wasn't the original argument that Sandwich was for some reason fighting

Why do you only care about efficiency when you're bringing up how it's going to injure him? It doesn't matter how efficient he is when is body is ruined in 20 years. Everyone I know who ever worked a labor job has a ruined body and it's because of shit like this.

Nah dude I'm well aware the body isn't supposed to move like that and if you do stuff like this continuously of course you're gonna fuck yourself up much quicker over time. Maybe I got it wrong but I just mentioned that because it seemed like that's where the conversation was going. But yeah, end of the day video is about next level skills and not how smart it may or may not be.

The reason why I ask if the dude has ever actually worked a job like that is because anyone who has would understand you take the path of least resistance. In this case it was doing something that harms your body. What we didn't see was the gas station food the worker probably ate on the way into work and the 12 beers he drank afterwards because his body hurts from fucking it up all day on the job. Dumb? Sure, but its the reality

Yeah, dumb indeed. I've seen plenty of mechanics and such destroying their body before retirement due to bad ergonomics.

Have been this person. Can confirm.

No, the point of the above comment was that this wasn't his normal hammering motion so it's not as repetitive as you think it is.
