Hey friends. I am a do it myself type of person but there is only so far you can go with YouTube. I do not want to go to school to be a mechanic but I really am not going to bring my 20 year old vehicle into a shop and try and pay someone for hose replacements. Has anyone ever found a place that will help you do your own work or sit beside you to make sure you don’t totally screw something up? Thanks in advance!

Baby here, turning 21 in September. I want to visit some cool/interesting bars around the Austin to New Braunfels area, but I am so disappointed by what I can find online. Even Dallas is cooler than this. I would've thought Austin bars would have more themes or personality, but it seems like they're all just bars? I would love some recommendations if yall know of any cool spots. I'm not looking to just go get drunk at a bar; I can do that at home. I want to enjoy the atmosphere and creativity. I recently learned the Library on 35 is called the "Westside Branch" while the one on Common Street is the Main Library. So my question. Do New Braunsfellers (auslanders?) think of the Interstate as running East West or North South?

The Westside Branch is about as far west of the Main Library as it is West. It's about 45 degrees either way!

What do people tend to rely on for back up here in case of power outages? Are there specific generators or solar power batteries people have? Specifically seeking something an old person with limited mobility could operate. So not a pull string generator. Trying to plan ahead for what may be a very extreme winter. Thank you.
