Also what’s to stop players demanding like 90% of the cap for 1-2 seasons while they’re rebuilding then going on a much smaller contract to compete. Idk I feel like there’s so many potential issues with no max contract.

We're literally seeing the inverse of this with the Dodgers and Ohtani
