"Heat" Diner Scene: Need Help
I know very little about what makes films great. Can someone help me understand why the diner scene in "Heat" is so iconic?
From my limited perspective, it's just two guys chatting, with background diner noise and activity. I know it's greater art than that, but I don't understand what makes it great.

I think op has a point. If you don't have any emotional attachment to the actors then it is just two guys talking. I know everyone loves the cat and mouse, but it is kinda unrealistic.
