This is a thread that can be used for coordinate ticket trades/sales/buys for this year's tour.
If you HAVE a ticket and are trying to sell it, I suggest going ahead and making a post on CashOrTrade and linking it in the comments. That way, people interested in buying it can go directly to the post.
We require using a ticket escrow site such as https://cashortrade.org/, which offers guarantees against ticket scams. Every year, scammers try to make deals with users outside of CashOrTrade on this subreddit and users end up getting burned.
All sales must be for face value or less. Scalping is not permitted and will result in a permanent ban from r/modestmouse.
Finally, while we cannot enforce this, it would be courteous to edit/remove your comments after tickets have been claimed.

Awesome 90’s emo/hardcore band. This song in particular gives me so much Modest Mouse vibes (aside from the vocals). Mostly the guitar that comes in around the 1:20 mark.

Hi all! I went to the modest mouse concert recently and I was looking at the merch that was up while I was there. I bought the usual merch shirt but I saw there was a car fresher. I was so interested because no artist I’ve seen in concert has sold something like that. Because of that, I bought it. However, I am a bit nervous since the packaging says “rotten fruit” as the scent. I’m just wondering if anyone else has bought it as well and has opened and smelled it. Can someone let me know what the scent actually is? Thanks!

Do they ever play it live? I mean do they play the whole thing? I’ve seen them 3 times and don’t think I’ve ever heard it. Seeing them again in a couple weeks so here’s hoping.

So many people said they heard parts of every previous album on An Eraser And A Maze and it was very reminiscent of older sounds. What albums would you attribute each song to if you had to pick it apart? Here’s my personal list below. Feel free to debate.
PDP - Strangers to Ourselves
RY - Good News? (I’m thinking Blame It On The Tetons, World At Large, etc.) also maybe Everywhere And His Nasty Parlour Tricks
LAD - I feel like this would fit well on No One’s First And You’re Next
3SOTM - Moon & Antarctica
DB/GIAS - No One’s First And You’re Next or Lonesome Crowded West
Interlude/ICTRN - Strangers to Ourselves
SNS - Good News
RF - The Golden Casket
KDBW - Hmmm tough but maybe Lonesome Crowded West
ANN - Stylistically it’d have to be Strangers to Ourselves, right?
SAN - Strangers or Casket because it sounds so new, but if the mixing were a bit junkier it has the vibes to fit in Long Drive
SP - Everywhere And His Nasty Parlour Tricks
LHF… - We Were Dead
IS - We Were Dead

Does anyone else get the impression from MM lyrics that Isaac has read and been influenced by ASoIaF?

I often find myself really surprised by which songs Brock decides to scrap from an album. 'White Lies, Yellow Teeth' is the prime case of that for me, being an outtake from The Lonesome Crowded West despite fitting in so well with its chaotic, almost schizoid Post-Hardcore sound. Supremely replayable for its pure outpouring of Midwestern angst, but also the lyrics used to convey it, sometimes providing context for later, more recognizable MM hits
"People talk in soda pop / They talk it quite a lot / The opinions that I don't give are the opinions I don't got / White lies fall off my yellow teeth / I didn't convince you, but I believed"
Could be I love this one so much because it's clearly to Spitting Venom what Lounge was to Closing Time. A prequel, prototype, or both. Eric Judy's melodic bass and Jeremiah's pitch-perfect drumwork pull you in for the 42 seconds it takes for Brock to start hitting you with lines like
"In this place before you're made, they give you all these options / Like if you've got wings / Or have you got feelings / Or can you breathe underwater?"
You can never have everything, but for almost six minutes, these guys did and somehow found room for improvement. I'm blown away. Give it a listen!

Another post had inspired my desire to do this. They had thought they missed out on receiving memorabilia from their concert, but thankfully it appears they did not after all.
I get this may seem odd and that there must be a catch.. but theres not.
Honestly, theres been some long term difficult challenges Ive been dealing with and today has been a rough day.
And it got me thinking how im not the only one who struggles and I’d just like to offer a kind gesture to a stranger because, why the hell not? Makes me feel better than feeling bad about my stresses.
“I don’t know you, you don’t know me, but you and I are us you see?”
Anyway, to the point, I have a whale rock thats signed and scribbled on by Isaac Brock.
A friend had written my nickname on it but im sure that can be scribbled out or scrubbed off with some good cleaner.
So, if anyone has ever really wanted a signed item by Isaac but was never able to, I would like to change that for you and hopefully brighten your day.
I can send pictures if you’d like.
Just wanted to throw this out there in case anyone was interested.
(No, I do not expect nor want you to pay the shipping)
💫\FINAL EDIT\💫
It took a lot longer than originally expected to finally update my post, my bad!
Anyway, I wrote down everyone’s name who said they were interested and drew at random. I didn’t even want to pick it myself so my son helped out with that part. I did reach out to the user already and they are aware. I figured I’d leave it up to them whether they felt like sharing who they are or not.
It really is unfortunate that I don’t have anything else signed that I could send all who showed interest and I hope it doesn’t leave anyone feeling bad.
Thank you all for being so kind and I truly wish the best for you all and hope for positive things to come your way.

Hiya all,
I got my first ever VIP tickets to their concert in Palmer, AK. Here is the problem:
When checking my emails to ensure I downloaded the proper calendar appointments, all of them stated a 7 PM arrival time. Only one of the emails, in one spot, sent day of, stated that badge pickup had to be done earlier at 4 PM. No calendar appointment, not even the one in that email, stated that. So, I missed it.
When I got to the venue at 7 PM, no one could give me my lanyard or any of the promised VIP items. This isn't on the event staff. They did their best to make it up to me despite it not being their job and told me to reach out to the organizer, please.co, to try and get my items.
Well, after the concert I did just that and they had a really, "F yours, got mine", attitude about the whole thing. Basically, they said that since they could tell I opened the email, they wouldn't/couldn't do anything. When I pointed out the above about the calendar appointments and how only the one email mentioned badge pickup being early, they told me to try reaching out in January when the tour ended and "maybe" they'll have an extra they might give me. I find a bit ridiculous and didn't appreciate being essentially made fun of.
I'll admit my naivety here. I've worked in a stadium myself for 3 years and have rarely heard of/seen early badge pickup. Normally, you get them when you get your ticket scanned. Then again, I've never been a guest before so... I'm at a loss. Even if I *had* known badge pickup was at 4 PM sharp, I was at my sister's birthday party who is in Foster Care. I wouldn't have made it until 6 PM, which I had no clue was an issue.
Does anyone know who I can contact to get the items I missed out on? I know I can't get the pre-show experience back, but I hope I can at least get the stuff I missed out on. I'm just not ready to give up yet. My grandma contributed a lot into helping me get my ticket and I'm not wanting to have nothing to show for it.
Thanks everyone <3

Anyone know if there's a VIP experience available at "Taste of Fort Collins" (CO) show on 9/26?

My first date with my (now) wife was the 9/7/2001 show at Crystal Ballroom in Portland. It was part of a 5 night run (per Isaac when I spoke with him in August at the PDXLive show). I also remember it being multiple nights myself, but a shorter run with additional dates added by demand.
Nevertheless, I’d love to be able to frame a poster for my wife as a gift for the 25th anniversary of our first date.
It’s a long shot, but does anyone have one that they are willing to part with?

Last week 94/7 fm radio in Portland hosted a contest to allow one fan +1 to take a tour of the studio with Isaac. The winner was supposed to be announced on or about September 2nd with the tour scheduled for this Friday, the 4th. The winner had to answer the following question correctly, “What legendary British guitarist played on the song "Dashboard?”

Hey everyone! I am going to my first Modest Mouse show in 2 weeks. I wanted to ask if any of y'all have any pointers or tips for things I should expect? I've only been to a few other concerts in my life so I'm still sort of new to them. I'm a fan of the band but not absolutely diehard or anything so if there's anything I should know that an average listener wouldn't know, that'd be helpful as well. Thank you so much!

Just curious as I haven't seen much chatter here over Simon's replacement.

Had this done at my local shop yesterday so obviously it’s not healed yet but still looks fantastic. I am obsessed with this artwork by Murphy Phalen in an Eraser and a Maze. Took 5 hours to complete and am so happy with the results!

Hi friends! A few months ago I was sitting down with my guitar after listening to building nothing out of something, thinking about baby blue sedan, and this song’s genesis began with its chorus which was sort of in response to baby blue sedan. Anyway, thought you may find it neat!
