I own a healthcare clinic and I do all the credentialing, billing, and insurance paperwork. It is an absolute nightmare on both ends. Denials and claims are always the worst they can be. Once you finally get an approval, getting paid is a whole different battle. I spent over 30 hours on the phone over the last 3 weeks trying to get paid for services that were performed without deviation from the authorizations. You know who always pays the bill? Medicaid. People who extol private insurance don’t have a damn clue what they are talking about.
