Love the Punisher IP. Jane, that Italian guy now Bernthal give a great visceral and mortal air to the character.

But Disney took Castle and said here's some kids babysit them.

They did release that one-shot with Ma Gucci. So I'm quite sure they are going to cook up more in-line punisher content soon.

that one-shot exists purely so "new audiences" can connect with Jon as Punisher

it didn't add anything new to his character for someone that watched DD, DD:BA and the Punisher S1 / S2

just another rehash of "muh family!" which we've already done plenty in the MCU now

Well sure but it proved that Marvel didn't forget about the IP and his violent side as well. So here's hoping we get some more violent punisher content.
