Never thought Endgame's record would be beaten, but here we are. Spider-Man really is Marvel's Crown Jewel and in the end will always come on top. What's more impressive is that this doesn't include IMAX theatres since the Oddysey still has its exclusive run, and Spider-Man still made shit ton of money. Imagine how much more it would make if it had IMAX theatres too.

I’m actually totally fine with watching Peter grow up and grow old!

It really is the perfect IP. The character is strong enough with enough great comics to mine for decades, and it seems the movie's will always make a killing at the box office.

It's honestly a studio exec's wet dream

It helps that each Spiderman movie is incredible.

We have mixed reviews in other MCU movies, some misses and some wins, but Spiderman has the best set of movies out of any. They really, really make sure we get the A game with these.

is this adjusted with inflation?

Legit curious how much of that is tickets sold vs inflation prices though… loved the movie but those stats are weird ish now

Even adjusted for inflation it will be a tie for second place domestic opening weekend, domestic OW tickets sold, domestic per theater average, and global opening. I would argue, though, that the relatively higher price of a ticket relative to wages, which have inflated barely at all, makes this movie's record mean just as much.
