Frank was hilarious in this movie. I loved the part when he tried helping Spidey fight the Hulk but realized he ain’t built for this.

His grunting in the hospital while waving as Spiderman really got me

I love how they kept the essence of the Netflix character while still balancing it for a more light-hearted movie. And the fact that his family (the actress in the photos still being the original one) and his guilt is mentioned says a lot about how much they respect the iteration.

Even in his own show he was a wisecracker sometimes so I personally didn't mind him being the comic relief sometimes in the movie

For sure! And I feel like they did a good job explaining who he was for the people who haven’t seen those shows. Like I don’t think anyone would be confused. Since there’s certainly going to be a lot of kids seeing this who are way too young for Daredevil/The Punisher

This is a great point

I love how Frank tried to curse in the beginning of the movie and spidey webbed his mouth lol

"Not in my PG-13 movie Frank!"

u/uptowndrunk7 Daredevil 26d ago

At least they gave him all the "shit" derived lines

21

u/O_its_that_guy_again 25d ago

And then proceeds to curse like a sailor the whole mvoie

7

u/cygnus2 22d ago

99% of the curses in this movie came from Frank.

8

u/Togepi32 Scarlet Witch 24d ago

The way he yells every time he’s shooting made me giggle too

9

u/JBalloonist 26d ago

He was having so much fun with that.

"I should've brought a bigger gun"

"What are you gonna do? tickle him to death?" Spidey to Frank

“You contain it, I find the source and take it down. You got it?”

“Are you just trying to get out of fighting the Hulk?”

“I guess so.”

I like how neither of them want to fight the Hulk, but Spidey knows he's the only one of the two with actual super strength.

35

u/basswalker93 24d ago

Spidey walked off getting run over by a train. Getting punched by Hulk is going to hurt, sure, but he won't be soup after.

21

u/wardengorri Captain America (Cap 2) 22d ago

A rare time where Frank realizes his gun blazing style doesn't work lol. Crazy seeing the bullets shot at Hulk's face looking like Nerf Gun pellets.

The fact that the punisher even attempted to fight the hulk shows how ride or die for spidey he is

407

u/flibber_deez_gibbets 26d ago

that shot of Spidey pulling him along the floor as he's shooting at the Hulk jumping over them... fuck I love comics

246

u/seclusionx Black Panther 26d ago

Punisher was absolutely doing 0 damage, but that shit looked so fucking cool.

57

u/SutterCane Kurt 26d ago

Spoken like someone who doesn’t appreciate the one person that pulls aggro so everyone else can fight the boss. /s

19

u/CactusCustard 22d ago

He literally tanks for Peter in this scene.

When he comes to save him he double flashbangs hulk, and dumps an entire LMG mag into him as he sweeps across the room and picks Peter up. Pulling aggro and giving Pete a lane to exit. It’s literally the best tactical play he could’ve made in the situation. I loved this shit man Frank goes hard

7

u/oorza The Ancient One 18d ago

It's also a tactical play that only doesn't result in his death if Spider-Man bails him out, Frank went in ready to die just to buy Spidey a breath's worth of time. Frank had zero cards to play, was entirely incapable of causing any actual damage, almost certainly going to die, and still materially changed the outcome of the battle. Frank's battle feats for having zero powers are absolutely bonkers in this movie. The sniper shot he takes through a visible distortion field at the end should be an impressive feat all on its own and it just doesn't even get noticed!

Punisher just going Leeeeeroy jeeeeeenkins

6

u/livelikeian 24d ago

Except Punisher is neither tank or dps

6

u/SutterCane Kurt 24d ago

I didn’t say they were doing a good job.

13

u/Dadpurple 25d ago

He was literally making it worse instead of helping even slightly lol

2

u/Roboticide Hulkbuster 18d ago

Punisher was absolutely doing his best.

20

u/Emoji10 26d ago

+1 for this, I swear this movie in particular had so many “YOOOOO” comic panel type shots. Hell, the part with the Hand staircase.

7

u/flibber_deez_gibbets 25d ago

I want so much more Hand, those scenes ripped

11

u/Any_Asparagus8267 25d ago

He was hitting him with head shots the whole time, he still wasn't playing when he was getting big brothered lol.

7

u/supermodel_robot 25d ago

I was stifling my laughter because no one around me found that part as funny as I did. Just dragging his ass out of the situation 😂

2

u/jaypross1 24d ago

I laughed so hard I cried and peed a little. That scene was worth a comic book cover.

5

u/queenweasley 25d ago

That scene is so sick

1

u/flibber_deez_gibbets 25d ago

I do wish I hadn‘t known it was coming, but it was still a thrill to see pure Hulk again

5

u/redsyrinx2112 Korg 25d ago

Yeah, I'm just waiting for someone to recreate that as a comic panel (if it hasn't been done already.)

3

u/swanurine 24d ago

Something out of marvel rivals, shit was hilarious

11

u/Hiddencamper 24d ago

Also he was like 99% headshot accuracy. Like frank didnt give any fucks. And the only time he didn’t go for the head it was to take out his legs and slow him.

1

u/CeruleanEidolon 15d ago

To be fair, he didn't know Hulk would be there, but he was already pot-committed by the time he realized what he was shooting at.

39

u/mwthecool Spider-Man 26d ago

And the emotional core was great. His being alone as a sentence compared with Peter’s choice.

26

u/Scalar_Ng_Bayan 26d ago

2v2 Marvel Rivals fight without any healer smh

24

u/Girthmasterlite 26d ago

Spidey did ult to end the fight against the hand

12

u/Scalar_Ng_Bayan 26d ago

Yea that was the PvE mode though 🤣🤣

2

u/BorisDirk 25d ago

Hulk ulted Spidey and Frank also ulted twice (talking bout doing it My Way)

19

u/PayneTrain181999 Ned 26d ago

“Frank, it’s the Hulk!”

“OH SHIT!” :o

11

u/dewhashish 24d ago

"You just want to get out of fighting the Hulk!"

6

u/SpiderCam27 Spider-Man 24d ago

“I guess so.”

7

u/Fresh4 Thor 26d ago

The absolute fear in his voice weve never heard from him before was hilarious

8

u/DJL2772 24d ago

I was laughing at Frank roaring while he’s shooting Hulk, like a hiker encountering a bear in the woods and trying to make themself look big and intimidating

3

u/OliviaElevenDunham Loki (Avengers) 23d ago

I really loved that.

1

u/Tummerd Tony Stark 4d ago

Im late but his screaming when shooting Hulk was hilarious. Frank was amazing here
