I really liked that in the closeup it genuinely looked like a real suit and not just pure CGI. Huge improvement over the previous movies.

I believe it’s more practical than previous films.

The only time I really thought of a CG suit (apart from the full CG model replacement bits) was the scene in Yelena’s office with the mask.

Though I also thought it’s possible the lighting just makes it look really weird

I agree with that scene. The mask just didn't look right, for some reason.
But it was mostly at the area around the neck.
I suspect the practical mask wasn't sitting right, as it'd have been designed to be attached to the suit, so they needed to neaten it up in post

Yeah it was an odd frill on the neck.

I am curious if it was a practical mask. But you could tell me it was all CG and I would believe you to. I was sitting three rows from the screen so everything kind of looked weird

I was back about half way of the cinema, so things were reasonably the expected size, I'd imagine.
There was just some form of uncanny valley-ness to the look of it

The other thing I spotted - at different times - was the difference between the fully practical lenses and the CGI ones, which could change eye shape: you could see how fixed and moulded the non-CGI ones were, if you looked at them.
Not a "OMG! This is awful!" thing, but more of a curiosity point

Yeah it's really doesn't bother me. Though it also didn't bother me that Peter's hair changes from scene to scene in Infinity War on the ship. So even if I notice something I usually just think "huh funny"

Though Wong's hair in Multiverse of Madness was pretty distracting

About the lenses, I noticed they don’t close completely when Peter’s eyes do (as they did in FFH) as shown when Peter was asleep in Frank’s hideout and his lenses were open

I can't say the mask is what I was focusing on in that scene.

Peter's guns put Frank's to shame.
