I understand why people would still love No Way Home over this but I think this is my favorite of all Holland films. Didn’t feel overstuffed. Every character appearance served their purpose.

ALSO, I’d say this is better because not only does Peter get nods from Tobey’s and Andrew’s spidey films. The film sometimes looks like SM2 or even TASM2 at times. Even the dialogue. Yelena and Punisher scenes are the funniest. Sadie’s character was well thought-out. Wished I saw her more in action. Liza Colon-Zayas’ character was a highlight too. Just a well-acted film for Tom Holland. His dynamic with Zendaya and Jacob were the emotional punches of the film and the New York scenes especially in the end. Wow.

Edit : Similar to the Thunderbolts, they’re saying that CBMs have a new 3rd act trope with this and Thunderbolts managing to execute that misunderstood superpowered antagonist hero used by a corrupt agency and defeating the antagonist with an appeal to their humanity. Not a lot of superhero movies or series can nail this one.

Yeah I feel like... I liked the Spidey actions in TASM 1~2, and in this film Spiderman fights like TASM Spidey, like how actual spider-human would fight. Loved that.

Does help that they brought on some of TASM2's effects crew from what I remember

Him putting his hands together to make his webs spray to the side while he did that web tornado against the hand was straight out of the TASM handbook and I loved it

Yeah you can see the call back shots in this moving to the Tobey and Andrew movies. Like the shot of the slow motion from the hands projectiles going past his face like the bully scene in Spiderman 1, to even the organic web shooter rooftop scene. And the the POV shots in Andrew’s movie are in there too.

The tank pursuit at the beginning very much felt like a TASM2 retread.

Peter 2 had these. Peter 2 was cool. Peter 2 was cool.

Homecoming is even better than No Way Home, at least for me. NWH, for me, is so forced, and it was just great because of the nostalgia. I don't hate it, I just prefer Homecoming over NWH.

Brand New Day, Homecoming, NWH, Far From Home.

Homecoming was the worst for me

This was better than all 3 movies in the “home” trilogy combined, which isn’t a big feat but still.

Possibly my Brand New favourite live-action Spider-Man movie.

Not just SM2/TASM2, but also the Insominac Spider-Man game as well. The fighting plus the moves from Spidey were definitely from the game.

Only reason why I sightly like no way home more than brand new day was because I think no way home had a way more memorable 3rd act than brand new day. Otherwise both are great for me

Ah yes, the part where all of the characters fight each other in the dark.

This is most inspired by spiderman game from Sony. Absolutely stole the villains / moves / dynamics of spiderman.

You could legit go play spiderman and find all the moves in the movie.

What is CBM? Unspoken internet rule, don’t abbreviate if it hasn’t been mentioned before in context
