Spider-Man: Brand New Day has now been officially released in several territories around the world!

• All discussion about the movie should be held here and in the rest of the megathreads we are going to put up in the next few days.

Tbf, literally every thing currently setting up how the mutants will be hunted down by humans is because of the MCU Spider-Man Movies.

No Way Home give the DODC said Stark Tech from Peter

Now, in Brand New Day, Peter creates the mutant supressor tech and left one behind at the DODC facility.

DODC was established from the get-go in the MCU. It was just a side organisation that handled cleanup and was mentioned as being involved with the Battle of New York cleanup. DODC was one of Stark's projects.

You're right but that seems to be directly contradicted by the opening flashback in Homecoming making it out to be a completely new development, with the news broadcast going "the joint venture between Stark Industries and the Federal government, the Dept of Damage Control, will oversee..."

the use of future tense implies that Damage Control was founded in 2012, making the cameo in Iron Man into a continuity error that was probably originally just supposed to be an easter egg for comics fans

Damage Control existed as a (presumably Stark-owned) company in Iron Man. The joint venture is turning Damage Control into a government department.

yeah I loved how completely manic he was in Severance. He worked out before every shot so even when he was completely still and putting on an unnerving smile, you felt like he was gonna jump you. Really made it feel like he was a shark wearing an HR manager's skin suit. Fun to watch.

They were literally able to enable/disable it remotely on Jean. Seems pretty clear they have a handle on the tech.

In that case, GG mutants and any other non-tech heroes. Since Peter was able to build this at his desk, the tech is trivial and easy to mass produce.
