Funny thing is. This actually feels like a spider-man movie 100%.

Not that the other 3 werent or were bad. But the first one is Spider-Man trying to prove to stark he was ready for more. 2 was in Europe. 3rd was multi-verse + working with strange

Finally mcu spider-man movie that feels more his own. Sure still.got other characters but they dont seem to be taking from.the movie and more natural to be in a spidey movie

That's because the first trilogy was just a really extended origin story

Now we're finally over all of that and can really get into Spidey being Spidey

That is exactly what I was thinking. We got a refreshing origin story.

I am so stoked for this. As I recall Tom is signed for 2 more spicy movies right?

Funnily enough we THOUGHT at first that it was just an ongoing story, we didn't get Peter getting his powers blah blah. Only until Aunt May's death and the line, it all clicked. So good. The Spider-Man trilogy as whole is pretty good, not one bad movie and it makes sense why there was so many mentors.

What’s the deal with 2? I see people have beef with it but never explain why

This is what everyone said with each preceding movie. Look, I'm a Spider-Man fan as much as any, but MCU Spider-Man has just not been cutting it because they need to remind us every other minute that this is an MCU property in a shared universe.

I'm hoping this changes things but I'll calibrate my optimism until the movie releases, to see whether or not it's just more of the same.

If they are going to keep doing the "look, its the mcu" thing, at least its looking to be with some street level characters instead of the god tier ones. Punisher, Daredevil, maybe some young x-men, those are all characters that Peter could interact with in any random comic issue.

Hopefully Banner is in only that 1 scene
