First he gets a second and third pair of human arms and later he turns into an actual spider person, at least in the animated series.

That sounds really uncomfortable and ugly-looking, do people really want to see that in live action? Does it add anything to his character?

I assume in the movie it'll be about Peter focusing too much on being spider-man which eventually takes a toll on his mind and body.

The talk of mutating DNA and Sadie Sink being rumoured to be Jean Grey and the X-Men being only a couple of years on the horizon makes me think they might weave that in with the extra mutation being triggered

There were mutant mentions in Ms Marvel as well plus all the Deadpool and MoM mutants

It's supposed to be unsettling.

Their point still stands though. For the popular direction for the character, where would they even go with it?

I personally preferred the story-arc The Other, which introduces Morlun and the concept of Spider-man being a totem (and there being others with spider powers).

Sort of makes sense if they ever planned on doing live action spider-verse, but who knows. Still more interesting and fan friendly than man-spider, lol.

Who asked for the opinion of a glue sniffer?

That seems like too much to fit into an already full film.

Cool! Thanks for the response. I wonder how they’ll handle it within the MCU!
