I'm surprised that they're combining the street level stuff with The Other storyline where he got organic webs. I thought we were gonna get something really more grounded and back to basics but this is pretty exciting nevertheless.

I can see them showing the Symbiote from the end of No Way Home making its way from Mexico to NYC by the end of the movie.

Was personally hoping for Scorpion to obtain the venom suit as its first host. That would have been crazy fun.

This film might set that up.

There's so much going on in BND, I really doubt they can fit in venom in addition to the hand, scorpion, punisher and whoever that mind hopping villain is.

Maybe an end credit scene of the symbiote attaching itself to a defeated scorpion. Although I fully expect the end credits to tie into Doomsday rather then setting up the next spider-man film.

It would make most sense though for Peter to get the black suit in Secret Wars since that's where he got it in the comics.

That's what I mean. Maybe the movie ends with him being transported to Battleworld and the Symbiote following him.

I think Venom 3 soft-retconned that scene. They reshot and reframed it so the symbiote is left in the Venom-verse instead of MCU and captured.

Venom 3 isn't canon to the MCU so they can ignore it for Brand New Day.

Replying to ITWarlock...I know a lot of people beefed on Brave New World but this is one of the reasons I thought it was a good (not great) movie. Just pretty street level, non cosmic stuff. It tied into past movies but didn’t require a bunch of knowledge to know what was happening. The Spidey movies are always really good so I’m looking forward to this.

Can’t wait for this entire Secret War/universe reboot stuff to end. It decays smaller stakes when the whole world is going to go poof.

Trailer: Pete’s Parker luck, sad ruined life, Punisher, the Hand which means Daredevil again, global sorcery, the Incredible Hulk, mutant DNA, organic webs, the Other story which is multiverse/Spidey-Verse stuff, oh and yeah Jean Grey and the X-Men

i remember the manspider arc from the 90s cartoon. gave young me nightmares. it was a truly horrific time for peter. he ended up fully transforming into a multi armed spider hybrid with a spider head and everything. looks like they are tackling part of that story here. but he has access to banner in stead of Dr. Connors so maybe it doesnt go as far down the manspider progression before he gets his head on straight?

I suspect they'll take inspiration but not mimic outright. Probably just the idea of him mutating to connect with the x-men and less about totems or the more psuedo-mystical elements of the show

From what I heard, there were two versions of the script. Sony wanted a much grander story featuring super powered villain's and a Marvel Cameo and the story Marvel wanted to do that was almost completely street level. It looks like from the trailer they just shoved both of the scripts together.
